Fletcher Buff/Nerf

On the stream, they JUST mentioned that they MIGHT reduce AOE radius and increase “stuck on” damage. I was thinking the “nerf” might suck, but when Exe mentioned this, it doesnt seem as bad. He mentioned there would be more precision involved. What do you guys think? I think its not so bad. (as a Fletcher main)

Increasing damage on direct hit ? The only acceptable value for buffed direct hits would likely be 110. If this is made, a lot of players will cry to revert the changes. I’m calling it.

Whats the current? Whenever i stick it seems like it never kills enemies… Even low health mercs like Sparks and Aura. Its less than aoe damage. Fletcher is so broken that the people calling to nerf him dont even know how much skill it takes to be decent with him (thats why im not)

If you never killed Aura or Sparks on direct hit, then it wasn’t a direct hit.

A direct hit from sticky bombs deal already 100 damage, enough to kill 6 merc on the roaster with a single hit : Aura, Proxy, Aimee, Kira, Sparks and Phoenix. However direct hits are far from being easy to score.

I still stand by what I said before: the stickies aren’t the problem; it’s how fast you get them back. There’s next to no point in reclaiming a missed sticky because you’ll just get another before you notice it being gone.

This. I think the recharge SHOULD be slowed a bit so that there IS a point in reclaiming.

Increasing on hit damage and decreasing splash won;t do much. Crappy Fletchers will still be crappy, while good Fletchers will be able to one shot even more classes.

The real change needs to be cooldown, simply having them available all the time is ridiculous, no other merc uses their ability nearly as actively, except perhaps Phantom.

well, as a fine fletcher myself I can say that good players make it awful hard to stick-em-up, or punish me hard for doing so. Reducing AoE would definitely decrease Fletcher’s push potential, as he can’t airburst-prefire corners as effectively anymore.

To make Fletcher balanced, just reduce non-stick damage, then good players will continue to score kills, and bad players will not kill anyone anymore. If you can preshot around a corner and kill someone, you’re not an engineer, but an assault. AoE of stickies mustn’t kill players, it must discourage ennemies pushes, like turret, but not instakill without warning 5/19 mercs (Idk about AoE on phoenix)

The reason so many people want a nerf is because too many hands are the right hands. But its not just a buff, its a nerf+buff in different spots. less AoE damage so its harder to get splash damage, but more “stuck on” damage so that the players HAVE to be wayyy more precise with sticky boms.

its a nerf, the bonus damage for ‘stuck’ bombs is so that it would remain at a 100, i think

I think a decent Fletcher nerf would be strapping him onto a rocket and firing him into the next distant galaxy so he can be a fuckface there instead of here.

Chill the fuck out. Who do you main? I heard you talking about playing Vassili during the jumpsnipe whine-fest. So if Fletcher (who btw cant one-sticky you anymore) needs a nerf THAT bad then what about vassili? heatbeat sensor should only be able to see people that you can see and one shot headshots suck. Remember the game back in the old (one to two years ago) where it was advertised as a very difficult, hard to pick up game with no skill ceiling. THEN THEY GO AND NERF EVERYTHING! I used to respect you and your opinion but if you are going to freak out over Fletcher, whos already been nerfed plenty, then you dont deserve anyones respect. now get the hell off my thread

If you are going to be funny make it wayy more obvious. Shit dont translate well in text. For example: Imma keep my knickers twisted as i want. That would be a silly-ish response.
