I don’t think firing a merc into the next galaxy via rocketship is a real or serious suggestion (and certainly not a personal attack on you at all). Although if I’m required to give my 2 cents in all intense seriousness on Fletch, an AoE reduction sounds fine, this coming from someone who wants to shove a boot up his ass. :slight_smile:

I don’t hate that idea though… Because to be honest, Fletcher doesn’t really have a place in DB.

No but seriously, I would take one sticky away from him so he has only 2 and I wouldn’t let him jump. Everytime he jumps and tries to throw a sticky grenade, he explodes.

Part of countering Fletcher is being able to aim at a moving target… Did you play Dirty Bomb in mid 2015 when it was released on steam? other than bugs it was almost perfect. The low level players just never ever grasped that this game was SUPPOSED to be hard to pick up. I joined at a TERRIBLE time, because when i joined it was hard to pick up, then i got to about level 15 and im like “whew, i think im getting the hang of this” then they nerfed everything, and now the game is either WAY too easy, or i happen to run into a lobby where the entire other team is so dedicated to the game that their chair has a built in toilet and converts piss into electricity to power their pc.

That would be really cool, actually

Everyone wants a boot up his ass. But he gives them another sticky little gift before they can do so. And, i always take any attacks that involve me as not personal until the attacker says it is. Even then im not really offended. I get offended (as you saw) when people bash on things i love with no clear reason. I know now that you were joking and im sorry for lashing back. Im just not great with jokes through text unless i know the person very well… (ive only been on the internet for 5 years cut me a lil slack lol)

I loved this game. Halo and Halo 2 were my first FPS games, but once i switched to pc at what… 11… 12 years old? Then i played minecraft… And everything i had learned on xbox was ditched. Then i switched to CS:GO and now Dirty Bomb. So yea im new to fps games. I hope this doesnt de validate my opinion. I just consider Dirty Bomb to be my first fps game that i truly invested in and learned a lot in. Unfortunately the only thing i can take away from this game is aim… Since its so different in the mechanics… I hope Overwatch is as similar as people are saying it is to Dirty Bomb. Tell me when Fragger finds his other 2 nades in the couch and when Thunder gets his conc nades working properly again. Tell me when Vas gets his scope fixed so he can jump snipe, and tell me when Aura fixes her healing station so it doesnt leave a strange mark on the ground. Tell me when Kira finds her laser and when John Cena gets his armor to stop humming. Tell me when Rhino polishes his barrels so that his damage per bullet is fixed, and tell me when Bushwhacker fixes his turret so that it isn’t a bucket. And tell me when all the toxic, toxic, toxic level 15 and under whiners get out of the community… Or at least off the forums…

If they up the direct sticky damage the minimal amount would be +10 otherwise it won’t make any difference. I personally find that too much. This would make him capable of one-shooting 10? Mercs. Plus, if he lands a sticky on an 120 Merc at the beginning of a 1vs1, it’s also a death sentence.

Yes but only like 2% of all Fletcher players are the right hands for him…

I always wanted to know how that would feel…

I think +1 or 2 seconds regeneration time, -10% AoE and +10 damage would fix everything.

It is true that close-mid range is Fletcher’s ideal range but he can be really good in CQC if you are able to wall jump over your enemy (Windows on Trainyard). Direct stickies are REALLY hard to land unless you are dealing with a corner camper.

I dont know how you get this out of my comment. I just said that direct damage of 110 would almost double the amount of mercs fletcher could one-shooting. Thats a significant change and I think it is reasonable to express concern about it. I never said it is easy to land direct hits nor that I can do it. I am also not against it out of personal reasons. I mainly play a merc who is already in the one sticky = death zone. So calm down.

I got that out of your comment because when exedore was talking about direct damage he was talking about the damage a sticky does when its stuck to someone. Its not unreasonable simply because its so hard to land a sticky on someone

Fletcher can only one shot if the stickies fucking land ON THE PERSON! Its rare that happens, so its not a big deal.

If you had read my ealier comments, I already told you, that I cant do it, because I dont play fletcher. But I have seen Fletchers landing direct hits more or less frequently. So if you main Fletcher, I just assumed, you could do it more or less frequently too, maybe more often. And now, I will stop talking to you.

i can confirm that while not often, its not rare either. id estimate it at 80% of equivalebt skill nader direct hits.

direct sticky at 110 damage would be incredibly OP, only 3 assualts, 3 fire supports and redeye wouls survive a direct hit

bro… the aoe is nerfed too. it makes sense that they do tons of damage on one hit. and i was pretty sure they did 80 or 90, because they can one hit an aura, sparks, and aimee but they cant one hit a vassili (before the health buff) so its 80 or 90 so then the direct sticky damage would be 90 or 100
