I got a good portion of the audio done today. I got 12 peices of music ready. Some suspenceful stuff and some good action music. The in game music sure takes it to a new level. I’ve also made some new explosions and melted one of my large diaphragm mics in the process…lol. It was on it’s way out any way. Evillair will have the complete audio package in a few days.
My only concern is the map will be bigger in file size compared to others without extensive audio…but it’ll be worth it.

Not sure…that’ll be up to Evillair. He’ll make the final decision on how much of the music he’ll add. There’s some great peices in there tho. The new fx should replace the old as well as the voiceovers so I’m thinking only the music will put it over. I’ve seen some maps over 20mb easy.
In my opinion I don’t care about file size…as long as the playing experience is enhanced…and it is with this in game music. It will be better to download the map off of a site as opposed to in game. I like the fact that you get the new maps automatically but it sure sucks when it’s a 20mb map and it’s being served to you at 7kb/sec…lol.
A superfast central server for this purpose would rock. Eveyone could send thier maps to this server and they would recieve a url to put in their map editor pointing to where it would dl from…
Well I finished the audio tonight and all in all I produced 56 audio peices, loops, fx and foley for the Nachteinbruch map. A few tweaks I’m sure and I think the map will be ready.
