hey evillair… I’m taking a break from mapping my ET level (overwhelmed by scripting) to make a small Deathmatch type level for Jedi Outcast…

I wanted to use evil_5 or evil_9… But the downloads at q3radiant.com are screwed up, and your site doesn’t have them available…

Could you email me #5? or point me in the right direction? Those textures are just phenomenal. :cool:

I dont get it, I’m new how do I run the map. I thought I just put the .pk3 file in my etmain directory and play but this doesnt seem to be the case…

:rocker: I can comfirm the stuff above … the black hole and stuff,

suggestion, maybe place a small clip brush in the middle of most of the tall bushes so that it is like the trunk to it. I am not bitching but you should be able to maybe lean into the tall bushes and kinda hide yourself, but you can walk righ in the middle and through them now. Might ad some realisim to the map… but only only because there are so many tall bushes…

Other than that Great Job, can’t wait to play the final version and see where all the wars end up at in the map. looks great keep up the good work

This one’s now down to page 5 so here’s a bump as I’m curious to whether there will be any new versions of the map as it is becoming one of my favorite new maps.

i do like the map a lot. it isn’t as good as some, but it’s better than most. i will say that i think the side entrance spawn for the axis should have better cover though, it’s just sortof out there. i was getting frustrated not from the spawn camping, but just people “passing by” who tended to shoot me as they went by, and it was about the same as spawn camping (i couldn’t do anything)

Grin Evillair is now at beta 3f of Nachteinbruch aka Flakcannon. Map has changed to some extend after playtesting and is continued to be tested for playability.

Look at this severe playtesting of the cannon :wink: It could hold 11 players in beta 3d Grin the cannon passed the stress test.

I’ve been playing the beta3 quite a lot and I really like the new changes.

Yes yes i know but since beta 3 there has been beta 3a 3b 3c 3d 3e and now 3f so hes working on it quite heavy :wink:

Thanx to evil lair I’m now producing the audio for the Nachteinbruch map. It’s gonna be awesome. I’ve started on a few FX, in game soundtracks and the like…I made a few new explosions that are more realistic to this map and the weapons used. A little blend from the Lucas Film FX library and some fire foley recorded in the back lot and viola.

What are the news on the Flak Cannon front? I’m really really looking for the final (with more light). I’m thinking about adding this map to our server (would be the first custom map), if the balancing turns out to work well in the long run. I think this map has the most potential of all custom maps so far, but the current version is way too dark to test it more seriously. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the interest.

The map has gone through some changes since beta 3. Most part due to the private beta testing done at the IPD server along with lots of helpfull comment\suggestions.

Right now I am trying to solve this bug.
I’m also waiting for custom sounds\voices from Sonix.

Once I get those things resolved I’ll release it - maybe a few more weeks.

It has also changed name; it’s now called Nachteinbruch.

The beta 4 play rocks :slight_smile: By far the most intense map for ET. Lightin is much better now. FPS is way up compared to the beta 3 public. There just that PANZER bug :frowning:

Evillair its gonna be a long few weeks man. Dont give up on that panzer trouble.
