The initial reaction of the first shot could benefit them, but if their tracking is so bad that their aim is off target for over .1 second intervals, then they are still going to lose a lot of gunfights. At that point they might as well get an aim assisting program/script.

Triggerbots are more for weapons with longer firing intervals like shotguns and snipers and closets usually activate it with a seperate keybinding to make themselves less suspicious.

I can understand the grief from hackusations, but a lot of what I’ve seen is very blatant. Shotguns cannot get one hit kill headshots from sniping distance. Especially when the player using it is jumping about. When this happens you KNOW they are hacking.

Bottom line, it’s not always easy to spot a hacker from the other side of his gun. Sometimes it’s obvious. I’ve only seen one hacker in the week I’ve played but it was obvious. His name was just repeated rectangle shapes and it came up as blank in the combat log and he was clearly using an aimbot.

But most of the time, if you suspect someone of hacking, just spec them for a bit before crying hax. It may be hard to reliably spot hackers from your perspective but it’s really easy to spot them from spec. Very few are good enough to hide it when you are speccing them. If you still think they are hacking, then drop server and report.

They want you to cry and accuse and complain. That’s why they do it.

It really sours the mood, when you run into an obvious aimbotting scrub, in your first match of the day, which is what just happened to me.

On public servers it’s pretty easy to deal with hackers, you can just leave the server, try to votekick him, record him and ofc report. in matchmaking you can’t do anything. the aimbotter can’t be kicked and when you leave a game n competetive you get a penalty. so you have to endure that abviously aimbotting guy and you get put on a bad mood. Yesterday for example i played a few competetive matches. In the 1st match there was a rhino hacking. Next match (fortunately) no hacker in. Later again a hacker playing Kira, also blatant (and so forth). And this stuff my mates and me have every time we play competetive. It is really getting annoying and destroys the fun. For those matches there has to be a solution, in public serves it is pretty easy to deal with them.

Also, I think that banning players will work to curb haxing for the simple reason that it DOES cost them something.

Sure, they can make a new account, but that account won’t have any of the skins, loadouts, or even characters that their old account had.

It will still take them several games to get any of the loadouts that they want, and the other stuff will take much, much longer.

It’s a fine punishment.

(But I still like my idea of banning confirmed cheaters from all the online games on their Steam profile :stuck_out_tongue: )

Only problem with that logic is that cheaters DONT need all those loadouts since they can own every1 with just basic gear.
Not to mention practice to keep 2 accounts, one for “fair” game and one for cheating(and remaking new one as need arises).

I’ve only met 2 hackers with over 200 hours into the game, most of the time they aren’t hacking it’s just people that’s been playing awhile, comp. match making isn’t even completed yet, it just matches you with whatever it can find… You can tell when they are really hacking…

My two last games in competetive both had hackers, blatant aimbotting and one of the guys I even encountered less than a week ago. This game BADLY needs the tools to deal with that shit, as currently all they have are manual reports and manual bans.

For those thinking I just played with people that were better than me: Both the hackers would instantly headshot you, with every bullet, no matter the distance while bunnyhopping around.

Alright so, I installed this game 3 days ago. All my games I’ve ended with over 17k and a good solid 2.x+ KDR (who cares right?) and every 2nd game I play I will get yelled at for “cheating”. I have seen ONE guy aimbot in this game and I have been playing for around 29 hours.

Yes there are hackers, but also noobs and less fortune players screaming at yelling at people who might just have played FPS games at a pro or semi pro level joining this game, especially these days.

Stop crying, if you see 4-5-6 instant head shots or someone porting all over the map, report the guy, leave the game and find another server.

its not as easy when ur playing ranked… i had a hacking rhino on my team today and the 9 of us were just absolutely stumped on how to deal with the douchebag sure its a free win but thats not the way u want to win a ranked game

Actually avidCow, I have been messing with aura lately and I can indeed tell you that you can easily snipe pretty far with the shotgun if you practice. I have been wrecking people, sniping snipers with it(headshots are key)

You cannot kill someone with one shot to the head from very long range. I play Sawbonez a lot (110 health) and these people were just a small speck at the centre of the screen when they shot me. The amount of spread simply does not allow it. It can not be done.
