How would we go about fixing the highly flawed ET panzers? A gravity element needs to be added like in RTCW and the splash damage needs to be drastically reduced.

Yeah, and maybe add a second profile for damage against vehicles (you should need less than 5 direct PF hits to destroy a tank) resp. buidlings (e.g. to damage command post with the PF).
Erm, they aren’t affected by gravity in RTCW either. In shrub maybe… The main difference is the RTCW ones do 100 more splash damage.
i think increase damage but decrease radius and they are very inaccurate while moving and they cant jump
this will reduce the panzer noobs ability to lame greatly and keep them used as what they were designed for
and perhaps if they choose panzer, they only get a panzer and a smg, no grenades or pistol.
the clanners will easily get pwned if they try and go all panzer, and will make them use smg if they still want panzer for objective
the noobs will find they get killed in close combat and long combat the panzers get dodged so they will go smg
i depends on what u think, but imo panzers will be forced into being used only for objectives
If you want to weaken “panzer noobs”, then give the rocket a minimum range of 4 meters before the explosive arms, so they can’t run up and self-destruct point blank.
Uh, SMG > Pistol. They’d be happy to get that change, it would strengthen them.
Where did you get the idea that panzers are meant for objectives? That’s not what they’re intended for at all (I’m talking about the game, not IRL). In fact, the panzer sucks for stopping a tank (only the FieldOps can do that well).
The purpose of the panzer in RTCW (and ET) is to kill enemies who’ve clustered in a big group. If not for the threat of panzers (and to a lesser extent riflegrenades), then the only competitive tactic for both teams would be to go 4 medic + 1 FieldOp + 1 eng and travel together in a big, loose mob. That way they’ll maximize both SMG firepower and reviving ability. The existence of the anti-personnel PF is what makes it better to spread out and split-up instead of staying in a huddle.
I’d make some timer similar to the rifle grenade where it will just bounce off the target until that timer is up. This would have the effect that anyone trying to panzer at point blank would have the rocket bounce off their target, giving the intended victim time to kill the Panzerwhore and/or escape the explosion, while still making the panzer work perfectly fine at a reasonable distance.

yeh arming time sounds like the best idea for regulating panzer i have heard yet
panzer noobs are the problem, camping, self killing and the ability to move and still retain 100% accuracy makes them practically impossible to kill
panzerfausts are anti-tank weapons, if they were only good for that, and perhaps taking out the odd mg42 nobody would go that class as pistols are ass shit
give em an smg instead of a pistol, they cant win close combat wit panzer so they use smg. they get used to it and move on
panzerfausts are a main attraction because ease of kill and no need for skill i guess the looks is another but who wouldnt rather see an airstrike or flamethrower
as they gain skill with smg, they might try other classes and move on
but my point is if panzers are changed to not be a frag-wepaon, a panzerneer has nothing to kill with and as a result it will be a wasted class

No. Wrong. Panzersfausts are anti-group weapons. Just look at RTCW! Does it have any tanks, at all? No, no tanks in RTCW. But yet there is a panzerfaust! Why? Because the PF isn’t anti-tank, it’s anti-group.
If the PF was really anti-tank, it would be the boringest job in the game:
1. shoot the tank
2. /kill
3. shoot the tank
4. wait 5 minutes for the allies to fix the tank
5. shoot the tank
6. repeat...
This isn’t Battlefield 1942… there aren’t enough vehicles to make playing an anti-tank class worthwhile. So nobody would play it, which I guess is what you want. Just don’t claim to be “fixing” PF when you are really “deleting” PF.

Well if you don’t want anyone to take panzerfaust, then just make a mod to totally remove PF. “Problem” solved.

I guess you don’t like this game much, because medics and PFs are the most central elements of the gameplay. They’re the defining characters.
Jamez, I’m not insulting you buddy, but I see no sense in your SMG theory. It only encourages em. :o)
IMHO the following changes need to be made:
-Gravity affects shots
-More DMG to tanks
-While jumping panzer should be inaccurate and force the user backward 5-7 feet.
-While not jumping panzer should force user back 2-4 feet.
All these changes don’t really tone down the usefulness of the panzerfaust, perhaps even the opposite. But it does tone down the feeling of invincibility the panzer-user has while he charges into the enemy base getting ready to spawnkill.
Increase damage, leaving damage done when Engy is at level 4 the same, decrease splash radius, tweak aim/movement, increase damage to vehicles.
in real life, panzers are anti-tank. in rtcw and et it is more than a joke, taking out large groups my ass its for the noobs who cant aim for crap
i have never seen a panzerfaust succesfully slow down an opposing group.
ofcourse we all want them to stop being used as a fragging weapon entirely, if they were used only for stopping tanks and encamped enemys tje soldier would be left with a pistol and sum nades. not exactly a use to the team if there is no use for the panzer at the time
smg would make the class have a use, and yes it would make soldiers stronger, but then u would atleast be killed by a smg rather than the noob stick
and probably win most fights too because they only have smg
jamez you ever watched some of the top clans? i can remember watching sabre from one. and he sure wasnt a “panzer noob” you just don’t like panzers full stop but half the time its the good panzer players which annoy people the most
well yes someone who uses a panzer pisses me off, i normally associate noob with panzer but yes there are many who have mastered panzers soo much its just not funny, q3a is there if u want to play with rockets.

i guess i have always hated panzers, i used to never ever press t because there was nothing to say on global, until i got hit by my first panzer
i always heard of many other woh thought like this but i doubt those kind of people exist, ones whichbelieve there should never be a time where the game is balanced so that unewxperienced can beat experienced (massive quake fan)

If you think a SMG is more effective in taking out large groups of NME’s or that the Panzer doesnt slow an oncoming attack then you must be missing something. Watch any decent clanny play panzer, or even myself (:]), and you will see it is more effective than any SMG/Arty/Airs/Mines etc… and even worse when Lvl 4 Hw is hit as a Panzer to kill and SMG to pick off any Medics.
