Did you read my post? It’s about opportunity and to do things when you need to. Do you throw a heal pack whenever the CD is ready? Fragger’s don’t throw their grenades right then either - this IS a huge nerf. I’m not saying anything about a nerf in particular, a slight nerf might had been needed with the strong players in comp in mind. But now the class is useless for me - and most others. It’s a HUGE nerf. It IS like saying - here, just ONE medpack at a time. It’s just like that. Skyhammer is near as good as a damage dealer as Fragger now, or at least in 10% reach and can trow ammo and destroy objectives (= better merc overall). Those who do triple kills with every single grenade have always been using hacks anyway. Now the merc is useless for normal players. Just like Phantom.

hardly useless. Nades are just as powerful. You still have 150hp. You still have powerful guns. Fragger will still be the first obvious choice for any clan.

To me the main real change with Fragger is it reduces his overall killing power and his ability to push through heavily hunkered down mercs or teams. And now Rhino standing on a healing station is a much bigger problem than he previously was.

Might be, might not be. Is the extra 10% (or so…) punch more worth as ammo and airstrike? You can not prime the airstrike, but it has nearly the same CD indoors. And if you choose the 151 MG, well… that’s not the nade throwing Fragger anyway, they don’t got explodendrion skill (which makes more of a difference than you might think). If you go Fragger now, you will want to choose the merc because of the MG, not because of the grenade skill - because the skill is pretty crap compared to Skyhammers abilities. At least now nobody should ever complain about it - because Skyhammer is a viable option.

The more I think about it, the more I think they have done their own balance pitty by giving an kick-ass big asssault and a support class partialy the same weapons.

Sorry, but he is simply right. No more throwing your nade taking a chance for it to be a blank, just the moment the second one is about to be ready again, and hitting someone in some obvious crwoded area.

So more (real? in this game? haha) esp-skills from now on, and less real player-skills.
Thx, I know the devs got a vision, but we’ll somewhen will get a choice for some competetive fast-paced-shooter, eh?

Well that’s sad to have any other choice than locking teams during pub objective games. I admit team stacking is a possible issue. I also like to play with my friends/clan on pub and we often do. But, in my opinion, that’s everyone’s responsibility to make the game pretty fair in every game. Hence I grunt on them often when they’re team stacking on purpose on pub.

This addition feels like detention for a kid who behaved badly. Poor sense and poor incentive to the directly involved people. Instead, why could not they change the money income system so it promotes more long balanced games ? Just don’t make it directly linear to the duration of the game ? With some guarantee (I.E. the xp/min/team should be roughly the same throughout the game, add a N% variance on top of that) to avoid people suddenly afking for farm, this could be an interesting way to make people directly involved in the team balance on a server and behave accordingly.

I agree, this makes offensive fraggers less viable. ESPECIALLY when you have people crowding an area, camped out on a health station (namely rhinos).

Before I could toss a nade, deal damage to rhino, destroy the health station and hopefully kill aura. The 2nd nade would definitely kill rhino and any medic dumb enough to rush in and try to heal him back up. Now with 1 nade, medics can simply drop another health station with ease, knowing they have some time before I cooldown for another nade.

Also, playing defense with fragger works less now too. That 2nd nade was a huge deterrent to people, as they never knew if fragger had an extra nade in his back pocket. I could hold down points rather well, and when playing against a good fragger I was cautious about rushing through certain points.

Now its easier to jump on fragger since you know he has 17 seconds without boom-power after he spends a nade.

And how are we supposed to pick our mercs for the appropriate team in Objective mode now?

Honestly I feel like, if objective mode is casual mode, we should be able to change mercs whenever. Then you can try different mercs and not regret your choice. Instill some kind of penalty for switching if need be.

or just put it back to knowing what team you are on. Which is more logical… You could just make it so teams are locked…

Shortening the time in the lobby wasn’t necessary. Because the UI is still really slow it can take 10 seconds to get the merc you want and the card. Once the UI is snappier I wouldn’t mind, but now changing even one merc may be a challenge.

Wait, the new lobby in casual is so that I can’t play with my friend?

I have one partner with whom I always play on the same team as, and we exclusively pub and have for almost 500 fucking hours in this game. This has changed and now I can’t?

Yep, it all comes back to this one point, where I am asking myself, what this game is called, these people are playing?
Can’t be called Dirty Bomb, because then, they would know, that someone doing their missions, would chose a different merc, depending on the side/team he/she is going to be playing on.
Still Santana, doing the Supernatural-Tour, played the guitar quite awesome.
