I bought phantom. Yes I’m one of those. I’ve also played with him in the betas so I have a bit of feedback regarding his balance.

I don’t think the changes you made to phantom, although interesting and presenting a new series of challenges when playing him outside of a defensive aspect, does not fix the greater problem… In my opinion, the most important change Phantom received was to reduce the ability to turn on the power attack, and the reduce on active time of the damage hitbox. Placing them should be about proper timing and aim, not right clicking and wildly spinning to collect kills. The reason why was so deadly to 90hp classes is not that he can one shot them, its that their speed means nothing when he is basically a bayblade.

Granted, this video is the most extreme of examples, but you get the idea. So thank you for actually adding these new melee restrictions. I’ll be sure to actually make a post regarding if I believe it to be too much or too little, if i remember to, in the future.

Additionally, the sword is not the most dangerous part. It feels to me that while he is a ganker and benefits from the strong melee weapon, his most dangerous asset is a competent player that knows that phantom’s primary weapon isn’t a sword, and knows how to get around on an enemy team.
