i had an opponent report the same bug today. they could see themselves from inside of their own head, and sometimes would be stuck spectating someone else, unable to move/respawn until the other person dies.

So I totally understand the to get rid of unwanted cards and I totally support the idea that its needed. But what the genuine **** is this Nexon? Yes, I say Nexon as I assume this falls under business model decisions and that’s usually Nexon’s bag of tricks.

What you’ve done is literally a **** you to your PAYING/ACTIVE players with this system. I can see the idea, 3 random cobalt cards you don’t want/use for 1 cobalt card of a merc of your choosing, all fine and dandy if you want a card from another merc. But what do I do if I have 7 cobalt sawbonez duplicates because I’ve been hunting a specific card for sawbonez that I don’t have yet(personally I have the entire set(including duplicates) except CR73, hence my point). Better yet, you can’t even trade in Sawbonez cards to get a Sawbonez card… So basically I’m still stuck with my useless cobalt cards as I don’t think it’s worth it for other mercs or I already have the desired cards in cobalt for those I want. So is that option just forgotten or did you feel like those people didn’t exist? Why not just have 3 cobalts from any mercs+25k for 1 specific cobalt loadout of your choice(? Strikes me as “well then there is no RNG anymore and we can’t have that!” eventhough those players have already filled your pockets quite well.

Safe estimation is that I’ve spent ~120€ on cases, not to mention the credits I’ve spent to get so many cobalt cards, you’ve already made your money from these paying/active players. This is the first genuine ‘**** our paying/active audience’ and it may not mean much(though I hope many players will join me on this) but I will not pay a single dime until you fix this, asap… RNG is fine to a degree but at some point you need to also let players completely remove RNG as a reward for spending that much money/time on your game. It is truly an insult to your playerbase, especially to those who enjoy your game enough to spend more then just time on it…

ps: I actually think the patch was really good again, as almost all late patches. SD is really stepping up their game, games balance is at some of the best it’s been at, more transparency lately too. This is only aimed at the business model and it’s **** you from Nexon(if SD allowed this without a fight then I’m also quite disappointed there though)… I also know that “not everything is set in stone” but what the hell?

15 Minutes in Solo que and I get placed against a 3 man que and get rolled… No reason to solo que if you are going to place me with 2 unranksm a silver 1 and a gold 4 that dont know the game…

Second ranked MM was vs 4 Cobalts and a gold 5 and I had two silvers on my team! WTF! Balanced my A$$… Pop in 5 minutes though…

Done with ranked MM… (Again) I keep trying it because it was fun… But now you have at least 2 if not more people on your team that literally dont know how to play the game. If Im elite both teams should consist of Either other Elites or a combination of Elite, Cobalt and high golds…

I do not want a low gold, silver, bronze or a unranked on my team!

I don’t think that reducing the ridiculous private server requirement by only 2 players is what most of us wanted.

They reduced it by one, but I think you misunderstand. Before you needed minimum of 6 players to start a private lobby but competitive teams consist of 5 players. So now instead of having to bring a random person to make strategies etc you can now start them with your 5 players and run around the maps together. :stuck_out_tongue:

So many more bugs introduced, many of which are more troublesome then the ones that are supposed to be fixed.

I have seen Mercs running around with the wrong player model.
I have been unable to respawn and instead get placed in a third person spectator kinda thing.
I have had to constantly wait upwards of 60 seconds for a map to load because of demo spec.
I have had multiple weapons “jam” on me and get stuck in a reload/cocking animation.
I have lots more micro stutter compared to last patch and the huge stutter is still there.
Players are constantly warping around and so am I.
I have hit people (not shielded) and not done any damage even though I get the hit beeps.

Honestly, I would personally prefer you to simply slow down the patches if it means you can get them right.
Feels like every patch is currently breaking more than it fixes, at least introducing more serious bugs.

Sure the being able to hit deployables with sniper shots is nice and also being able to type at the end of a match. But apart from that most things are worse…

I cannot play at all after this update. The game crashes straight to desktop without any feedback within a minute of starting a match or while loading the match. I verified cache and steam reported the replacement of two files that had errors, but that hasn’t helped my issue.

I have 3 suggestions for private matches.

  1. Give us the ability to load the maps offline via the main menu as well as via console command. This can be called a practice mode. Once in offline practice mode, the “limbo menu” key can be used to change mercs and loadouts at will, and this feature only happens in offline practice mode.

  2. Lower the number of players to start the match from 2 to 1. When I load a map via console command, I can’t do the objectives because there aren’t enough players.

  3. Fix the gun models in offline mode. I used the console commands to change mercs and the gun models are buggy. The same magazine is used on all weapons, no matter if it is an SMG, Assault Rifle, Sniper, or Shotgun. I guess this bug happens when I change the merc via console command, but I don’t believe it happens otherwise.

So far my performance has tanked, map load times increased, frequent security violation kicks, and getting weird lag spikes. Feeling like I need to take a break for a bit until things improve.

Ok, so after a little of fiddling it turns out that my shooterengine cfg is being rejected and I get dumped to desktop. great. I have nfi what the issue is, seeing as all particle effects are opaque and I’m forced to deal with blood and muzzle flash like everyone else. Without that cfg I don’t get anywhere near enough fps to make the game playable.

I don’t usually have a counter on, so I don’t know exactly. I would check for you now but ofc I can’t use my usual cfg, but it was definitely sub 100fps at a consistent rate. My personal threshold is being able to track a zig-zagging aura player without crazy tearing or slowdown or other obvious/not so obvious visual impairment. Basically I had regular solid fps that didn’t nose-dive during airstrikes or would otherwise exhibit irregular patterns. Somehow I managed to achieve all this on a GT550M at 4:3 1280x960 with proper particle effects and one frame interval turned on.

With regards to map loading times, it seems that they load at normal speed but then you’re left in limbo for ages (you can hear the game taking place in the background).

Happens to me seemingly every time. Totally given up on it.

Hey, I am silver! But I like to think it’s because of the above problems and having placement matches against the top clans in the game (not just that I suck) :frowning:

The update itself is pretty nice apart from some technical issues.

Played a stopwatch on Chapel and the primary objective HUD IFF wasn’t there on either half of the match so you couldn’t see where the EV was on your HUD or how much health it had. At one point even one of the enemy players’ IFF was completely missing so I didn’t see their name or their health bar.
Then there’s the map loading time thing though I don’t think it’s tied to the update since it started happening before the patch.

How Long were you waiting in Que for this Match to pop?

FYI - I wasnt saying anything about your skill or that of a silver but to play at the super high level there should be a minimum rank that the algorithm grabs.

In my Above example I had a 3 man party with Elite, Cobalt 2 and a Gold 5… We then got placed with 2 Silvers 4-5’s… We played against all high Cobalts and 1 high Gold… The Ranked MM Algorithm wasnt even expanded yet!!! Even the we played was talking about how broke it is because they a 5 man pre-made would only get matched against Raisins…

Another thing from the match above was the 5 man pre-made only selected ONE MAP!!! The picked underground in which they had a very specific strat to run… This gives them even more of an advantage…

Something needs to be done about this. Either have a minimum of 3 or 4 maps where you can not select one if you dont want to run the risk OR when you are selecting mercs also pick and ban maps while in Ranked MM lobby… Highest Elo player picks and bans…

Performance:
I have taken a high in performance however my FPS are around the same…

In playing past games I have experienced this feeling when I put my max-packets to 30 vs. 100… and or my CPU is working over time… Something in connection with the server feels off…

great update. I still have the same FPS as before (300+) i even had to set fps cap limit on my gpu to 144 to save some energy consumption.

  • no security kicks after this this update
  • no lags at all and I havent them before.
  • no other issues mentioned above spotted in my games (but its maybe too soon to say that)
  • competetive is meant to be played with own team, not a solo, so uneven teams dont bother me

-about trade in system or slightly longer loading time I dont care that much. I own all the mercs with loadouts I need. If is it called bronze or gold or cobalt i realy dont care.

I only wish:

  • allow me to purchase credits (10 000 for 1.99 or depending on monetary model).
  • allow me to trade rare (founders/obsidian etc) loadouts with friends for credits as it works in other games
  • allow me to create own rare loadout (own color, own selectable augments and weapons) as the rarest and most expensive option ( for example 350 000+ credits)
  • better friendlist in the game with separate tab in main menu
  • more stats accessible via website and embeddable (as it was on ETQW)
  • when Joining competetive matches, before accepthing IT please show me, who will be there too and offer Search again option

Where does it say that? Private matches are, arguably, where teams should scrim. Otherwise good luck in the wasteland of MM waiting for another 5 players in a premade of the same aggregate level to play against…

My understanding was for MM to provide a competitive ‘like’ experience to players who aren’t members of a clans. Unfortunately I played an MM match last night for the first time in a while, and experienced the same problems again, long wait time and then a match against a premade with significantly higher individuals levels. Fortunately they were on offense first, so at least it was a relativity short, painful, experience.
