Where does it say that? Private matches are, arguably, where teams should scrim. Otherwise good luck in the wasteland of MM waiting for another 5 players in a premade of the same aggregate level to play against

we always play together (5) and max waiting time on EU servers was like 3 minutes. In most cases its below 1- 2 minutes.

Good for you, must be great to pubstomp 5 solo’s. But you’re missing my point - see how long you have to wait if the only people using MM are 5 man pre-mades…which goes back to my question, where did you get the idea that only teams are meant to use MM?

yes. we always premade team of 5.
problem is when more of us are cobalt+ rank. then waiting time is long. So game is probably trying to create even match with players aprox equal ranks.

that is because ELO system is still broke. most cobalts are cobalts because they play premade vs mix of solos.

I bit the bullet and tried another couple of competitive games and they were actually quite well balanced in terms of rank this time! You have to log in early, though, to ensure there are enough players around for a good match. (My rank is still BS, though, cus I get reported every time! )
