website and they are advertising Quake wars files. Its all the videos and
stuff. In my way of thinking would say that they are advertising a release
of a game or a demo or public beta, trying to stirr up some publicity, so
when the beta comes out everyone would want to join up and grab it…

don’t think we will be seeing a beta anytime soon. fp sometimes does this in their previews to get ppl to sign up, even if the preview was a rumor, ppl still sign up for it. it is a very effective strategy.

Where have they advertised they were doing the beta? All the buzz came from the previews a couple of weeks ago. That beta claim was by a person that was doing the preview. Fileplanet has no control on whether there is a beta. Your reading into information that doesn’t exist.

I think a statement like that implies the author has knowledge concerning a confirmed beta. The fact that gamespy and fileplanet are the same company makes me wonder if they just made it up to get more money. Basically fraud.

ESRB rating is given to the final product, the exact copy to be released. It’s a voluntary system but they still only slap 'em onto finalized products (i.e. when content is no longer subject to change).

We know that closed beta’s been occurring with selected clans, to finalize the game. So we know that game is under going spit polish (bug find and fixing)…
The pre-order hype, and especially the name registration system. The name thing is a sign the online master server system is active, or at least in its preliminary stages and the fact now they’re hyping up pre-orders could mean they’re getting ready in the marketing department for you-know-what. Again, the pre-order doesn’t go very far away for release date (I say about max 2 months)…

I was quoting you because you act like fileplanet owes you something based on a quote they didnt confirm. I’m not saying they will not have the beta. I was pointing out there is the one piece of info on a preview that is driving people crazy.Here I’ll quote you again so you can read what you say.

Notice how you mentioned fileplanet does this to generate cash? They have no control over when it is released. And I seriously doubt a mod is going to answer your request, but I could be wrong
