Is there any info out there about an open public beta - I dont think I can handle waiting for this game anymore.
I would fork out 7 bux to play this beta, gladly. But if there will be an open beta then I can relax a little bit, and not sweat having to hawk FP.

I remember waiting for ET beta test, and the insane amounts of euphoria I felt when it came out. I also remember the longest stretch of time being the months it took to release the full game; they said about a month and I remember it took at least 3 months. That was nothing compared to last year hearing this game was being delayed into … 2007 …

I think It’s safe to say there WILL be PLENTY of keys to go around, you don’t really think 60,000 key’s will go in seconds do you :lol: :lol: . I’d eat my hat if that happen’s, and I have many hats :wink: .

I think its a little screwed up that I (and others) have been searching ALL over the web for years now (yes years) with no info about a beta untill all of a sudden (I don’t check every day but usually once every two weeks or so) “We are opening a closed beta to File planet sucribers.” That doesn’t seem like the type of image Activision/SplashDamage/ID should be sending to their loyal fans! Seems to me there should be some kind of small open beta test(s). Maybe there was and I missed it, but I doubt it.

Guess I’ll just be playing RTCW till sumthin changes. Man untill I heard this news I was debaiting on weather or not to buy the Pre-release version of the game this week, but now I am not soo sure :?

There were closed beta tests open to active competitive clans advertised on this very site. As one might think, they didn’t last long.

IF its gonna be on fileplanet then it will be a deffo that it will be a
subscribers only at 1st depending on how many do go for it and
how many idiots do join!

I for one will not be payin twice for it, i want to buy the game not a demo!

I lined up for the one month option, for $7 it’s not a bad deal to play it for a month and a half to have a leg up on the compy!! :slight_smile: Gives a confirmation number when ordering, hopefully be playin the demo this weekend!

I don’t think you can call it “beta” NoControl, but it is a demo of the game! Beta’s in my mind mean I would be giving the company “feedback”. This probably won’t have active feedback, but will test some server capability and other issues behind the scenes.

you technically are giving feedback just by playing. A real demo is when you play, game is already finished, and the developers aren’t testing anything, because the game is already done.
