Need to find some servers with Field Ops that give out ammo instead of just throwing constant airstrikes that kill no-one, even if you stand there looking at them asking for ammmo they just ignore you and just go airstrike nothing

Fieldops
Depends on the situation. I play Field-Ops quite a bit now (being a career Medic whoās pissed off not getting any ammo!), and tbh there is sometimes a reason why Field-Ops donāt give ammo.
For instance, if Iām Field-Ops as Axis on Fueldump, in the opening stages Iāll drop artillery on the Allies route from spawn constantly, time after time, cos itās the best way of pinning them down and preventing them getting the Bridge built. I might not kill many, but itās more effective than giving the Medic next to me some ammo for him NOT to shoot at anyone.
Iāll also throw Arty at the beach-head on Battery if Iām Allies to give cover to the Engineers building the ramp. Getting that ramp built is more important than stocking up Meds and Cov-Ops whoāve got nothing to shoot at.
In fact, quite often in the opening stages of a game, Meds donāt need ammo, so I donāt give them any, and if Iām playing Med myself, I donāt ask for any.
That said, if Iām on the defending team, and weāre pinned back defending the objective, Iāll consider it my duty to make sure everyone is stocked up, even to the cost of going without ammo myself, cos then a Field-Ops becomes a Support player rather than Assault.
But I do sympathise, having played Medic for so long, cos there are some incredibly stupid people out there. One of the funniest moments for me was when I repeatedly asked a Field-Ops for ammo, only to be ignored, and then asked him in team-chat why he wasnāt giving me any, to which his reply was āfuck off and find your own ammo, you aināt having any of mineā. I think the guy seriously thought giving me ammo would leave him with less.
Donāt forget, that youāre likely asking for ammo just around the corner from a firefight. Any fieldops is likely to have just called an airstrike or arty barrage on enemy positions.
Therefore youāve got to wait until his charge bar gets high enough to create ammo boxes, and even then, itās slow, one-at-a-time stuff.
Iāve had people ask for ammo, stand there and then shoot me once because I didnāt produce immediately. (Memo to self : bind āWaiting on charge barā message to a key for simplicity).
Iāve had teammates ask/pester (as Axis) for ammo just after the allies have built the ramp. First priority, clear the ramp area with airstrike, then hand out ammo. Sorry mate, but youāre not always the top priority.
NB. I do spray boxes about when I spawn, until I run out. First-come-first-serve rules. And I do give over ammo if I believe Iām safe for 3-4 seconds. Iām not going to run into an ambush just because someone calls for ammo. Thatās a job for the (Rambo) medics. - At least they can repair themselvesā¦
As a med, a good tactic is to steal the weapon of your enemy after you shoot him. That way you can pick up ammo off dead enemies all game. Ive stayed alive and well-stocked for very long periods of time without getting resupplied at all using this tactic.
I find the players that complain about FOs not giving ammo because theyāre throwing useless air-strikes are generally the same ones that will complain later about the FOs not throwing enough air-strikes when their team is getting overrun.
:banghead:
You can also just pull out the pack and hold the fire key. Your character does that shrug animation which usually gets the point across.
If people shoot me expecting to get ammo, I open up on them in return. Sure, you got my attention. But now I hate you and have no qualms sending you back to limbo, complaint or not.

As a medic if I have no ammo your chances of getting revived go down significantly. I have a knife and 3 bullets left in my pistol and you want me to fight my way into a hot zone to revive you? Give me a clip or two and Iāll be happy, but my knife fighting skills are a bit lax.
As a field ops I try to make sure everyone has ammo unless I know the enemy needs pinned down. Even then Iāll try to get 2-3 ammo packs out between artillery and air strikes (mainly going to medics.) I try to get every medic I spawn with at least 1 ammo pack too.

Well, thatās just plain lazy. Iām sending you to knife-fighting boot camp ya bum!
I find on most maps, if you drop one pack near spawn, you can still FFE by the the time you get to the combat zone. Once youāve some of the fieldops rewards, it is no trouble at all.
As a medic, once I have either lvl1 medic or light weapons, I donāt worry much about getting ammo right away.
True. The 2 situations I was thinking off specifically were Battery as Axis, Iāll FFE out the bunker window immediately on spawn, and on Fueldump as Axis Iāll FFE as soon as I get on the balcony. And on both maps Iāll FFE again as soon as Iāve re-charged. Other maps, youāre right, a pack here and there is OK to begin with. I just hate Meds (or anyone else for that matter) who squeal for ammo when they donāt really need it, and I say that as someone who actually plays Med far more than any other Class.

Ive stopped asking for ammo long ago. Now i just cut enemy throats with knife and take their guns. I suppose thats why many medics are called rambomedics⦠
Donāt get me wrong, if Iām Field-Ops I give ammo, plenty of it. But the point is there are circumstances when a Field-Ops can make better use of his/her charge bar than giving ammo to someone who doesnāt really need it right there and then. I wish more people would understand that, especially the morons who pop a few shots into you if ammo isnāt immediatetly forthcoming.
