few ideas..

Just a few ideas i would like to see implemented:

  1. bring back the XP points lost for TK. I don’t mean the points lost after a vote for tk (F!) but in general. Even if it is one point lost. Right now there is almost no incentive for people to look where they are shooting because they can always hope that they will not get complained on. Maybe stuff like mines wouldn’t get this XP lost but in all the other situations i would think that would improve the gameplay and people wouldn’t get TK’ed every 2 minutes …

  2. get some kind of instructional video or included walkthrough demo or something like that. THis game has no SP so a lot of newbies never get thgough that exptra step to get aquainetd with the game, they jump right into the MP game and annoy the hell out of people :slight_smile:
    yes i know that there is a manual but it is in a text file external to the game and most people will never ever know that it is there…

  3. for a team based, goal- oriented game ET seems to reward mostly non-goal oriented stuff. IN RTCW you could at least see who managed to run with the documents to the radio/whatnot so there was some incentive to do so (you would have this big glowing exclamation mark on the scoreboard after the round). WHy can’t there will be some notice in ET at the end of the round for the people who blew up the objectives and who delivered the objectives (radar parts/gold) to the truck ?

right now you get all the awards for the stuff that is not much related to the objective, and even misleading (best engineer award quite often doesn’t mean the guy who blew up the objective or the guy who nursed the tank to the destination but rather stuff like guy who kept on rebuilding unneccesarry crap)

I agree, the main people who did the important work should get recognition, but it will be difficult. An example is myself and one of my buddies love to do the engy and cov ops on fuel depot. So in effect I slip through the tunnel hide by the “tank wall” and wait for him to nail an axis get his uniform run to me (I may well have been sitting ther for MANY minutes), open the door and let me in to plant and destroy the objective. Between the two of us we basically won the map, more or less single handedly (often the rest of the team are total noobs and are just bullet fodder) but at the end of the round do we get anywhere in the rankings, do we hell, nope, seems a little unbalanced.
