This is probably too much to ask but it’s something I’ve wanted since Q3 first came out. It would make authoring video’s from game footage much easier.

That is a feature that has nothing to do with the game makers. There are demo viewers out there that allow you to rewind, fastforward for this type of game. One of them is Seismovision.

Seismovision is great but it doesn’t allow you to rewind. Seismovision doesn’t playback the demo’s. It just configures rtcw (to give you the fast forward, avi saving - which is now built into ET), loads rtcw and your demo, starts the demo playback automatically.
Another problem is now that games can last 30 minutes, avi dumps at 24 fps run out of space because the number screen shots only have room for 10k (7-8 minutes)
