I’ve noticed the Bunny hop Brigade has started to invade dirty bomb, games not even open yet which is pretty sad. After a certain amount of jumps consecutively your jump height should be severely reduced along with moving a bit slower while jumping for a small period of time.
Fatigue system
you do move slower after consecutive jumps
why do people get so mad about people jumping a lot

Bunny hopping in general is frowned upon in all fps games. It shows a lack of skill and the user generally is a selfish person going for kills rather than working as a team and pushing forward.

complaining about bunnyhopping is the only thing that shows a lack of skill because it means youre unable to aim at jumping targets
So you wan’t me to stand still/strafe left right when facing Fragger as an Aura/Proxy ? No.

i can hit moving targets pretty easily, it’s just annoying.

WHUT ???
first of all: you can do 2 ( two ) jumps in a row on DB !
(theres a loadoutcard that gives you a 3rd one )
2nd: How dare you are calling everybody that uses a meaningful game mecanic “a selfish person” and proclaim they dont work for the team !
As the executive board of the just founded “Association of twotimejumpers and game-mecanics users for the prevention of suppression of smallmercs” i hereby demand an apology.
or we meet at the old oak tree outside the village at sunrise for a jumpsession.

That is a broad generalization and false. Strafe jumping (which some call bunny hopping) is a skill in Quake Live. There are similar abilities in other games. RtCW had strafe jumping going down hill that would make you go insanely fast and it was part of learning the game to get to objectives or parts of the map fast. SoF2 had strafe jumping going up hills (for some reason) and it worked great. You might not like it, but it’s a skill that is in a lot of games and it’s not looked down upon.
What you want is a game where it’s very easy to aim at somebody at all times regardless of their class. You want to tone down the skill in the game so you have an easier time aiming while trying to dress it up as if it’s something everyone who plays wants. That’s not cool at all
Did you play Urban Terror back in the day? That game was amazing. It had one of the best movement systems in the world and weapons were balanced accordingly. The game today has been scaled back to the point that it’s pretty close to being another CoD clone where you can speed up for one very short burst if you want. If you want to play CS:GO then go play CS:GO. I love it. But I also want different types of FPS that includes skillful movement.
Also, all weapons would need to be rebalanced and shots become more inaccurate/more HP given if you couldn’t move very well in this game. The only thing I’d agree to is your shots not being that accurate if you jump. I’m fine either way on that.

then why is it annoying?
Uhhh… whatever happened to parkour? This game is meant to be fast paced and even ‘play dirty’ so the trailer says (hopefully you know it) this game is MEANT to be quick, it’s MEANT for you to move around and run and gun, this game is about working with your team while trying to protect your objective/kill the other team and quickly finish the objective.

it has nothing to do with easy shots, It’s more along the lines of i’d prefer this not become another Combat arms. People only using quick characters bunny hopping with smg’s and shotguns.

guess people forget what they were playing, it’s called dirty bomb, a faced paced shooter, lemme repeat this-A FAST PACED SHOOTER

Dirty bombs not fast paced though, That’s just advertisment, This is pretty on par maybe even slower than a normal fps. Heck Combat arms Search and destroy is faster paced.
Also something being fast paced doesn’t have much to do with what i’m talking about.
There is nothing objectively wrong with bunny hopping in a game other than from a standpoint of realism(which DB is obviously not concerned with), but realism doesn’t equate to fun factor. It’s simply a matter of liking it or not liking it. If you don’t like it, fine, go play another game. Don’t try to push for a drastic change to a fundamental aspect of the game’s movement system just because YOU don’t like it.
so you are saying in combat arms its better to die more quickly than it is in dirty bomb? also not sure what you were talking about by ‘that’s just advertisment’ cause it seems all true, the only thing that I don’t understand is what do you mean by bunny hoping? (and maybe this link will make you think differently https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LJUmnLDpDw)
As a tester it’s your job to give suggestions that YOU would think help improve gameplay.

and no that’s not what im talking about.
Do you really not know what bunny hopping is?
Bunny hopping in some older games was done in order to gain speed while strafing making you harder to hit, in most of the newer games you don’t gain speed however it still makes you harder to hit. this wouldn’t be an issue since the guns in this game are complete childs play to aim like good lord, however because of medic machines people like proxy or aura bunny hopping around near them with shotguns causes some pretty big imbalance issues. It’s also one of the main spawn camp tactics second to Explosive skill rotations.
The reason it hasn’t been a big issue in some of the major fps games like battlefield and call of duty is because they have a small fatigue system where if you try to jump too many times in a row consecutively it reduces your jump height by around 60% - 70% as well as reducing your speed. Of course the cap of jumps before that happens in this game would need to be increased due to the parkour system (Which could using some fine tweaking like grabbing ledge to get through windows or get over fences etc).
But of course at this point who knows! they might release a merc that complete decimates the bunny hopping population, anythings fair game at this point. It was just something i noticed and wanted to bring to the table.
