Farming EXP in 1vs1 a ban reason?

(Jostabeere) #1

Is it a ban reason when people farm EXP in stopwatch 1vs1 where they just destroy and defuse the EV?

(Eox) #2

Possibly. But I seriously doubt Splash Damage or Nexon will try to get as much people farming exp as they can. I can’t see the point of farming exp, besides self pride or something.

(kAndyREW) #3

Yeah I don’t see a point in farming up levels. I mean sure you get 1 case per level but they randomly drop anyways…

(Amerika) #4

About a week ago I was in a Twitch stream where some guy was recruiting others to farm XP. I asked him why he was doing it as levels didn’t matter in this game and gained you very little. He claimed that you got tons of credits every few levels. I told him that you only got credits at level 2 and 4 and cases only after that. He called me a liar and was pretty riled up about it. He then proceeded to get a few people to go level farm. Can’t say I didn’t warn him.

Talk about an unintelligent donkey.

(kAndyREW) #6

lmao

YOU LIE!! Just, you know, for no reason, you came up with a really specific lie about credit bonuses at Lvls 2 and 4.

Makes sense.

(sinKrin) #7

@Amerika I proper snorted at that comment

(DucklingJuggler) #8

I joined a game like this the other day and got called names for not leaving.

(Fleshpound) #9

There can be.

Do you think that bots don’t use it too?? :innocent:

Ahahah, I’m staggered there’s some players actually trying this in DB.
Let them waste their time in such an endless quest.
They even won’t gain more credits compared to a normal balanced game

As if people even care about it. They care about that big giant important number, called level. Like CoD, the level means skill, money, women and success for them.
But still unfair if you can make 30-40K in a 1vs1 stopwatch the same time you make 10-20K in a normal 6-8vs6-8 game.

It’s impossible to 1v1 right now. I’ve slowly been getting my friends to play this game (harder now with Phantom) but each time I’ll find an empty server to 1v1 on to show them each class up close. People start Quick Joining into the match almost immediately.

Once private games are enabled it might become a problem but honestly, as someone else pointed out it’s the least of our concerns. The game isn’t pay (or play) to win. Money and credits don’t mean all that much.

What happened, I need closure.

kick them it’s simple

(CCP115) #15

Wait what? Doesn’t the EV give you gamemode EXP for destroying and repairing? Like, HEAPS of gamemode XP? What if they weren’t farming levels, they were farming the daily game mode XP mission?

(Gi.Am) #16

Could be but makes no sense either. The daily missions are timegated makes no difference wether you finish the gamexp mission in 15min xp farm or completing it in 2:59 via regular missions. One is more fun than the other tho.

On a sidenote propably banable, not gonna sift through the eula again but if I remember correctly from the last time, there was something about power farming being disallowed. Not sure tho.

(Litego) #17

Surely having a 1v1 against a friend is totally legal, anything else would be absurd!

(Jostabeere) #18

Yes, a real 1vs1 is totally legal. The question was about a game where 1vs1 both people only disable and repair the EV all the time to get points.

Yes, but how is the game going to distinguish the two? The only way to tell the difference is to have a human verify one or the other, which isn’t realistic.

How about them just toning down the XP/credit gain for underpopulated servers (if it’s actually a problem). Have it scale from little at 1v1 to max at 5v5 or something. It’s not like you play to farm XP/credits in friendly 1v1s.

(insightfulHelicopter) #20

And then these guys will enter a lvl 10 server with no experience of the game and call everyone cheater
