Fantasy Vs Reality???

Would you rather a mod for ET took on a realistic approach, using different weapons characters & classes to tha current game OR wondered off into the wacky world of crazy and did something a bit fictional, liiike robot zombies for example…

I put this question to you…

I don’t care since I’ll never play it. BUT, as long as it’s well done and fun to play you could have monkeys flinging shit at each other.

Well, I wouldn’t want anything like robots and zombies, but I definitely think fantasy has a lot more going for it in terms of potential. In fact, although I know next to nothing about modifying a game engine, I’m already brainstorming ideas for what you’d probably refer to as a fantasy mod. I prefer the term ‘futuristic’, though. It’s more suitable in my case.

I believe a fantasy mod is a little harder to criticize than a realism mod. I’ve been on RtCW/ET forums for a long time now, and I haven’t seen a single realism mod whose realism factor hasn’t been questioned. Even something as simple as a sound mod can’t escape criticism.

Well, I kind of wonder what a Q3 style game with ET/RtCW gameplay elements would be like - but I’d settle for the shit flinging monkeys iif the gameplays up to it
