The intro of ETQW with these Strogg motherships where always kinda mysterious for me until I recently played Quake4. Too bad you don’t see them back in any QW vanilla map.

Check out the intro to Quake 2 as well. Similar stuff was used back then and I guess that one was inspired (cough) by two scenes from Starship Troopers.
