failed to reopen pak0.pk3

is this some kind of bug in ET
I know how to solve it, just unistall and reinstall ET

but I then copy everything in my etmain, so that I dont have to download everything again

then when i reinstall it I put all the maps back (no I dont overwrite pak0 or any other pak files)
this way i keep my maps and my etkey

BUT it is happening more and more frequently that I get this error
maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have too many pk3 is my etmain???

please how can i fix this bug, last time I reinstalled 1 week ago and now its back already… I get sick of it

Yes, probably too many files may cause this error. I had such a problem with a giant number of .pk3’s [long time ago…].

there is this bug in ET when you have too many pk3’s. As i knew this was reflected in download problems and bullet lag , but maybe this happens to be your problem also. Imagine when you join a server or the map is changed you have to cross all ( 500 wow) pk3.
My advice is to delete all these files you don’t need or have a folder with maps and simply copy them to etmain when needed. Maybe it’s not this the answer to your problem but you have way to many pk3’s there.
