Explain why you choose your team

Dunno, i don’t find a topic like that. So sorry, if there is already one.

Would be nice if you could explain why you choose the mercs which you have in your main-team.
For example me:

Skyhammer:

For the really combat and for killing the objectives.

Vassili:

Saving the team from the back and sensoring the enemies.

Aura:

Backup my team on defense.

With that team I have normaly for every situation a good choice of a merc to use. Even if my team used to be play “I alone rule the game” I can play vassili and getting kills and help the team, if they want or not, since the enemies were displayed to my team.

Sorry for my n1 english skillz so far.

Proxy - Run and gun, mines work well on offense or defense.

Redeye - I enjoy his playstyle I like to cover allies doing objectives and spotting as much as possible. Not to mention the hilarious kukri knife.

Stoker - My favorite fire assault merc, he’s reliable anywhere.

Sawbonez - He’s the most reliable medic for me to play

Phoenix - Only if it is Execution

Stoker swaps in and out with Redeye, Phoenix in and out with Sawbonez which was why I mentioned those two.

Proxy, because I gotta go fast, and carry the objective.
Sparks, because best medic in the game, except when Aura is the best medic in the game. If Aura is the best medic in the game I’ll play Phoenix.
Nader, because sometimes often you need more explosions to counter the enemy composition

Kira, because she’s fun and I can still go fast. Also her explosions are better. The cooldown on Skyhammer is too long. And people just run out of it.

Vassili (main) because it’s my favourite character and he is the only sniper in the game.
Sparks because she serve as medic while also being able to snipe enemies from afar.
Stoker because molotov and because the only cobalt i got is for him.

Aura - My main medic. Nice and simple, place down the healing station, rez your teammates, smash some shells out = HUGE XP Profit. Also because I just like running around real fast and shotgunning people in the head.

Phantom/Stoker - My main mercs when I want to kill people. Flank and KEK on Phantom, headpopping with the Stark on Stoker. Also good area denial for blocking off important areas if need be. Really depends who I’m playing against, all of my little buddies at high, they hate it when I play Phantom, but when I’m actually playing with aware people, Stoker.

Bushwhacker/Fletcher - OBJ mercs, plain and simple. Bushwhacker is my most trusted but I tried Fletcher on free rotation and I did OK with him, also found him really fun.

Proxy - Because I’m a sucker for fast characters that complete objectives. Scout main. Use the shotgun with smg secondary because best of both worlds.

Stoker - Good area denial class and has nice health and weapon. Atm using the M1 rifle with deagle secondary. (And I like his voice <3 )

Aura - She’s just the best med, and I like to support my team when they need it. I’d run Phoenix or Sparks, but even though I love their concept I don’t think they’re as good.

Sawbonez - All around fun to play merc, get to go fast(ish), you get crozni, and you feel important when you revive and heal people occasionally

Phantom - I know it doesn’t have that much value, but he is just fun to play. Plus all the people who go apeshit when I use the kek-10 and not the katana give me the giggles

Stoker - I like how mad my friend gets when I throw molotov at the objective

Fletcher - Fast, engineer merc, stickybombs are fun too. Mostly go for him when there are not alot of Objective Specialists on the team.

Fragger - Main merc for me, mostly I choose him because he can clean out an entire room in seconds with good team work (Even if half the enemy team are surrounded by one health station)

Stoker - Good merc for cleaning out a nest/objective area.

Stoker- My best killing merc. I do better with mollies than frags, and having pretty much infinite ammo is a plus.

Sawbonez- Reliable healing capability.

Fletcher- Well… he’s Fletcha’.

Fletcher - Because either that objective or all the <100hp light mercs need some bang’in. Sometimes both. Actually, always both. So why not.

Phoenix - Sawbonez would get all of em healsies out and has access to same weaponary, but our Spanish poncho-wielding gringo just feels so much fun and I can give myself that very needed stimpack every once in a while in middle of gunfight. And rise from the dust after biting it occasionally.

Stoker - Despite all the mobility using packs provide, none other ammo supplier really intrigues me ability-wise and Molotov feels most versatile of the fire support abilities even if it’s currently not the most consistent.

Thunder can hop instead of any of the 3 for testing mood when I happen to be on such. And since owning all mercs brings quite of a variety in “have merc X in your squad” missions, I tend to use those whenever I get them.

I basically always run:

Skyhammer - Rarely play as him out of my squad, he’s just there to kill the EV in case nobody else brought a skyhammer. Mostly I just pray someone else on the team will drop ammo.

Aura - This is my main. I find I can carry a team pretty hard by reviving and opportunistically dropping her healing station. Biggest mistake I see new players make with her is not picking up her healing station. If you’re on offense you should be picking it up and moving it behind cover as you press forward. This makes a HUGE difference. Also it can be picked up if nader starts spamming your area, that way when she’s out of nades you just put it back down instead of letting it get blown up. Blishlock is what really made her viable to me (imo).

Proxy - Gotta have a mechanic. Always use her SMG loadout. I like that she’s fast so I can sometimes sneak by the enemy and get the objective done. Also I love the mines because I think it gives good map control. If you know the maps and flanking routes well, you can really help your team by constantly cutting off one side of the map. Oh and sometimes (many times) I’m the only person guarding the C4 so the mines help with that too.

Fletcher - Fletcher
Redeye - Vas is bordering on useless right now while the PDP is still a powerhouse after the instagib nerfs, can keep the whole enemy team spotted until they die or I do.
Medic/Fire Support - Usually Stoker, Skyhammer or Sawbonez. Depends on what I feel.

Fletcher (soon to be turtle) because no one ever plays engineer properly, also explosives and a shotgun.

(Main) Phoenix - Looks badass, has hochfir, good healing abilities, can spring a surpise.

Kira - Quick, has Driess, find laser better than other support abilities, Kawaii af.

Thunder - For when one of these ^ goes on rotation and I like his lmg.

Kira - Love her speed and someone has to worship the kawaii pillar of fire. Super fun to play…

Proxy - Tend to use her a lot when I feel like no one is pushing the objective as th engineer. Plus she’s fast and I love her mines.

Sparks - I like to be able to revive my team mates without having to go up next to them. The med packs are mine tho… ok you get them if you need them.

Nader(Switch out Kira) - Whenever I feel the need to be assault I go for Nader. She has a great selection of guns and her granate launcher feels good when you get kills with long shots and bouncing them off walls :stuck_out_tongue:

aura- i can heal all of my team at once. unlike the other medics you can heal a lot of people really quickly, and you station doesn’t give health to enemies.

bushwhacker- my turrets can help my team, even when i cam dead. also you always need to have an engineer on you, just in case your team doesn’t have one or needs some help with the objectives.

nader-what can i say other than she really can destroy an enemy stronghold and help the team reach victory. plus i love that her grenades can destroy generators.

Fletcher - He’s basically a mini-fragger with the teamplay of being an engie.

Sparks - Because sniping and healing in one merc is fun

Stoker/Arty - indoor vs outdoor. - Because the other two mercs in my squad can’t stop an EV or give ammo.

(rarely) phantom, because i want to pretend he’s useful. Q~Q … (r.i.p.)

Phoenix- My first and best merc, id 1v1 anyone with this guy he also is a combat medic not a passive one

Stoker/Phantom- My main killing merc (gg says what I want from em)

Nader/Skyhammer- If I see a group of enemies, RIP.

I don’t do obj, I will clear it out and make sure my allies do it, If not, gets pilers

It’s always a engineer, and two different Fire mercs. I dislike going medic, to many things you have to keep track on while you’re playing

Arty - People who do worse than Arty will bring shame to their family. ha ha ha

Phoenix - I like sneezing at people and force feed dem apples~

Proxy - She’s mai waifu


Nader - Also mai waifu

Bushwhacker - It’s just so satisfying to see armies falling before my turret~ … … or between me and my turret.

Stoker - Who wouldn’t like burning stuff?

Phantom - Come to elevator~ I dare you, I double dare you!
