Execution new maps

(rookie1) #1

The new maps mostly in Execution :

MP_Sandlot
TDM_Camden (Canal)
TDM_Rebar

Just looks amazing …just saying:)

MP_Sandlot

TDM_Rebar

(Pytox) #2

yea seems cool

do they play nice though?

(shaftz0r) #3

rebar plays really well, sandlot looks good but its a little convoluted in design

(Rex) #4

Now take some inspiration to the sw maps…

(Protekt1) #5

I’d assume with less objectives per a map they have more room to make bigger areas on the sw maps. I hope that is coming down the pipeline.

I haven’t seen several of the latest map changes though since every time I try to play no one is on =(

TDM_Camden - most beautiful map so far. Kudos to whoever did it (I presume Draska?). It also has an excellent layout for DM.

qft… if i want execution i play CS:GO.

anyway, probs for this solid work.

I think he’s referring to the non linearity of the map design rather than gamemode per se.

(k0k0nat) #9

I think he made his point with “best game mode” and leaving the server after 1min last time xD

(RasteRayzeR) #10

Quickly tried the new TDM_Camden, looks neat indeed. But mostly I believe it helped them finding what kind of layouts is good for XT. Does that mean that the production phase of the game is starting (at least for the maps) ? Because if yes, this means now is the point where the game really enters beta stage.

(Pytox) #11

lol i want to play them some time but you need someone else too

(DarkangelUK) #12

To be honest, I’m REALLY looking forward to getting a lot more diverse players into the game to get away from this “stopwatch 4eva <3!” attitude. The sour grapes some people have towards other game modes is just severely off putting.

(shaftz0r) #13

in games with 100 maps, obj mode is fine, but when there’s 5 maps and only 2-3 are good, why would you not want to play sw? also it adds an element of fun beating someone elses time. ive never understood the obj mindset

(Glottis-3D) #14

for this to happen, the game itself has to be extremely fun in gunplay/movement. so the player would start to search for different exitment, founded on the fun they get just running around and shooting each other. with is not the case atm.

(stealth6) #15

For me SW mode is a serious mode. When I play it I try not to leave between rounds and my mind is more geared towards playing for the team and winning. When I play a gamemode like objective I don’t mind messing around a bit actually having fun, putting turrets in silly places, etc. Also I can leave in the middle of a match without feeling bad.

That’s just my opinion though and I think it has more to do with the type of players that play the modes compared to what the modes actually do. SW seems to be more comp players, obj is more people just blowing off steam trying stuff out.

sure. i completely get that, but i personally always play “serious” and by that i mean, play the actual game, and do the obj. i can still mess around and play different classes ectect, but ill always revert back to serious mode if we start losing. i dont know, trained habit

(Violator) #17

Agreed - more pub players please! We will be your main income :). Nothing against SW though per se.

imo -> Execution does not fit to xT.

There are towers, mines, airstrikes, detection-nades etc.

While CS:GO and other games are very simple and 100% skillbased when it comes to “somehow execution”, xT offers to much other stuff.

I dont want to wait till a round is over, because I stepped on a mine.

Objective Mode is why I am here and also why players are pissed off atm.

I can bet you cant give a single convincing argument as to why it doesn’t fit, because I’ve played it, and it fit pretty well. I get that some people don’t like certain modes, but there are some that are actively against other modes just because reasons… the quote hardcores unquote who want pure objective/SW and nothing else only care about themselves, or thats the impression i get. Here’s a twist, Execution was more fun that SW and I see that being more popular for comp that SW… there, I said it.
