You do realize why Brink doesn’t have enough players, right?

Because it’s actually a bad game. It’s good that some players, like yourself, can enjoy it. But most people have higher standards and Brink reaches nowhere near said standards.

If the patch in June irons out the lag some people (not me) are having, I’ll recommend it for 360 like crazy. It’s hard to say “The game’s really fun, but it might lag so bad that it’s unplayable”

Brink is awsome game. It’s just hard to make every1 like it, because CoD brainwashed them. :smiley:

I have gotten 4 of my friends to buy it. Three like it, but one is still too addicted to BFBC2. He likes tanks.

I would not dare advocate anybody buy this game in the shape it’s currently in. Hell, if it had had a demo or something, I wouldn’t have bought it and have to regret it.

Tons of potential - but so many glaring, elementary issues. I’d recommend a price drop after the patch, is what I’d recommend.

Playing on the ps3 as my pc is currently not up to scratch, and I’ve had hours of non-problematic gaming. Maybe the other platforms are fairing a lot worse, but Brink is in a fine state over here.

I advertised the game to all of my old Counter-Strike friends. A few of them picked it up and are still playing happily.

I would never recommend this to anyone I’ve met in a Battlefield game though. Most of them won’t play anything without vehicles in it.

And all the guys at the gay bar down the street won’t listen to me when I try to promote Brink to them. They’re too busy trading hats in TF2.

Why are you still here then… if you don’t like it go play sim’s or whatever other trash you play, those of us who have followed Brink from the start know what its about and are having a fantastic time.

Cant do it. I already recommendded this game to a few of my friends (based on pre-release vids etc) and boy did that come back to slap me in the face.
The lag is bad, very frustrating and frankly inexcusable.
Even pushing past that , and using last night as an example (5 of us cancelled pre-orders and all rented instead) we (5 people) wanted to play … so taking SD’s advice we go for the ‘Competition’ mode which is 5 v 5 and supoosed to be lag free - well that turns out to be bull****.
And even when one of us did find a lag free game, because we then had to rely on the other 4 people ‘joining’ them we found we always got split up onot different teams :frowning: … a team based MP game , that you cant join as a ‘team’ and has netcode that cant even hadle 5 v 5 … really, you want people to go round telling people to buy it ??? … my rental goes back tomorrow , and would image a lot of other peoples will (5 day blockbuster etc) , so expect the community to take another hit because theres no way i would pay for the game in its current state (i did however love it when it occasionaly worked)
