You’re completely missing the point…

Yes, having teammates on your team that “clean up” the other team is helpful - this doesn’t mean the game needs to display their K/D anywhere. Killing can be important, displaying a K/D is not.

I’m not talking about scoreboards, we’re talking about leaderboards. We already know Brink has scoreboards after every match. I still doubt that even the scoreboard will list a K/D ratio. (kills and deaths are different from a ratio)

The reason some of them [the snipers going for K/D ratio stats] won’t [play deathmatch] is because the gamers who are doing the objectives are easy targets. [snip] When you jump into a room and play a different gametype than you should be, you are by definition, griefing.

I am quoting myself because I just walked into the Man Cave to discover that my boys had just finished playing a game of Halo:Reach KoTH. They won because the opposing team wasn’t even going for the hill. All they wanted was the kills and the kill spread.

Bungie gives no reward at all for taking the hill. So, gamers play Slayer in an objective gametype. Exactly what I was arguing a couple of weeks ago as regards BF:BC2, and here it is in yet another game.
