(Buttercup) #1

 !! ATTENTION !! FANS OF ETPRO !!

ETTv is starting to become a reality and several matches have already been seen by thousands of people during the beta testing period. You too can join in the fun and watch your favorite teams from TWL, CAL, Clanbase, ETCL and even the Brazilian League battle it out in competition style Enemy Territory.

Come to irc.gamesurge.net and join #ettv for match schedules and server details.

offtopic i know, but I only use quakenet. Can I make mIrc connect to two networks so I can join #ettv there and stay on my regular quaknet chans?

edit: it worked, thanx alot!

short answer, yes

long answer, yes. In version 6.16 I did:

File -> Recent Servers -> New Server Window

Then in the blank status window you just connect to the 2nd network just like you would the first.

The beta test events are also listed on the etpro forums for the dual network challenged:

When ETTv is released, you will be able to go to #ettv on Gamesurge and enter your own matches and then host ETTv from your own server (since ETTv will be part of the standard ETPro competition mod).

Should contact the peeps of #splashdamage on QuakeNET Buttercup…

They used to run a linkbot between QuakeNET and 2 other US IRC Servers that basically made one channel the same over the 3 networks… someone in the team might still know how to… iirc, RR2DO2 (quack :>) set it up…

danke! I’ll have to chat with them. That would be most excellent. If anyone wants to volunteer to setup/host it let me know
