thats all what i want to say
ETQW vs Brink
and with that 16/16 in Brink - how many are bots?
at least with QW’s before joining a server, you know exactly who is there…
just a far superior game imo
still hoping for the day ID or whoever, releases the game for Free like W:ET…
i can see a free version, after some tweaks with the SDK - being just as big and popular as W:ET
think of all the servers that would be rented, gametracker shows over 2400 W:ET… thats a lot $$ being made off a free game…
just think about it – ID (or whoever )
I could post a similar screenshot where there are only 2 ET:QW servers with games going. This doesn’t prove any thing and it doesn’t really mean any thing.
Dr. Funkenstein
- lots of Brinkers re-installed QW. I did. Doesn’t mean I won’t play brink anymore
- should we laugh, rejoice? What’s the purpose?
ETQW
is kinda old, still loved the game, but tried to play it the other day and i couldnt do it. rockets flyer drones
and cooked grenades all being ohks is kinda boring…
thats what makes the game so good. even aimless people can play it and be usefull in some way.
For the record: I stopped playing Brink about 2 weeks ago. It’s not about game A vs game B and which one is better, more popular or whatever. Don’t care about that.
You’re just showing us “a moment in time” comparison and nothing more.
Dr. Funkenstein
its best to take a screenshot at 1->2 am GMT, its the peak game hour, when USA is at home, and europe is ending the night
majority of brink players are from europe. on US servers i counted 29 players. Or, US players like high ping probably and everyone is on EU servers. I dont know.
in the end of summer no one will be playing brink. no one. i never saw game losing players that fast as brink.
taken yesterday 10:19pm UK or CET time.

yes, i remember. i cannot find the words to express how do i feel now… it hurts!
I don’t think it would hurt if SD employees (and employers) did an office wide ETQW LAN party. If only to get that taste back again.
I love the bodytypes, the abillities, the weapons variety (not the way they perform) and of course smart.
Keep all that but as for the rest ETQW nailed it. It’s just excellent. You feel more powerful as a player, your intentions translate easier to the actions in-game. The weapons are actually lethal and players have the right fragility.
I totally expect that Brink would continue in that direction with the above additions. But that’s not what we got. SD knows how to make an exciting shooter, they know what PC players want. I’m not just talking a few tweaks that are supposedly due. I’m talking about a rehaul that gives us ET on the Ark.
