ETQW Streaming

Hey all,

Lately i came across a new possibilty to stream quake wars. Since streaming via twitch is pretty much impossible through full screen (only works in window mode for me so far) i thought lets share it. Some of you might already be familiar with this but through steam it is now possible to stream full screen ETQW in good quality.

http://steamcommunity.com/broadcast/watch/76561198041828570, this is my streamlink for example and its possbile to watch it any time when someone is playing, only if the person allows it in the privacy settings of steam.

So for the people still playing this dead game or being interested in what it looks like nowadays, I will be streaming sometimes and i hope some other people will as well. :slight_smile:

Im still hoping for some possbility to stream from steam to twitch, but for now this is already something.

Actually a good workaround. But what about streaming QW in window mode fully resized to your actual monitor resolution?
Also give some times when you stream.

You can stream directly to twitch with nvidia shadowplay.

Or i suggest Xsplit

I don’t know the way of adjusting the size of window mode to covering the actual monitor, it would be a good solution ill look more into it.
For now im thinking of streaming during saterday and sunday evenings from (GMT+1) 8pm till 9-10 ish pm.

I tried Xsplit already but streaming software have difficulties with recognizing ETQW fullscreen for some reason.
About nvidia shadowplay i dont know.

Xanatos told me you could stream Quake Wars in full screen if you had a capture card.
