ETQW seems to be unavailable digitally. Property reverting to Bethsoft/id?

(Jet-Poop) #1

It’s gone from Steam, and the handful of other digital distributors I know of don’t seem to have it on their websites either.

Are Activision being craplords (I mean more so than usual), or is the game about to revert to Bethesda/id like Quake 4 did earlier this year?

I’m interested in knowing why it’s gone from Steam too. What other digital distributors had it?

I think Direct2Drive had it in the UK, but if they did, it’s definitely gone now.

its now the property of ID software.See the steam forums

Yeah, and SD will also now become a property of id software.

SD dont have a clue in what is going on. They gave their lucent son to others, and the only remain of ETQW is in their hearts.

Well, Paul probably forgot to tell them. He also doesn’t have to

its because id read this place, and gonna release a UDK type of kit with quakewars engine, splash has brink and brinks recoded engine. splash stated off making maps etc, less hassle for them to release a kit for uni students etc

make things alot better with all 1024 hi res textures instead of 512 which is what most of quakewars textures are http://doom3-hr.com/Main_Eng.html
