ETQW Release: Summer/Fall

(Joe999) #1

activision has just updated their release calendar:

http://investor.activision.com/games.cfm

Summer/Fall
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (PC)

i hope it’s more summer than fall

on the other hand: i’m not sure what winter would describe. if it were in fiscal years it would mean beginning of 2007. so summer/fall could as well only mean it won’t be released soon, but still in 2006 which is the info we have for over a year now and this way we know as much as before: nuthin. which turns this topic into plain spam  :moo:

If someone can confirm summer I may piss my pants.

(Hakuryu) #3

The latest PC Gamer says June.

(CrazyGuy) #4

Maybe for an 1 map demo.

(KAGE) #5

Lol this news is minimal.

(ParanoiD) #6

OMFG NO! Great news! This would mean a public beta/demo would be that far away anymore. As I said May 29th would be nice, 3 years after the release of ET

(Rhoades) #7

pretty much confirms what almost everyone thought.

(Shanks) #8

Activision has only 3 games coming out?

(EB) #9

I love the fact that “it is done when it is done”.
…rather than this: a certain game company paid out 14.1 million in an overtime lawsuit because they made their employees work 85 hours a week to pump out broken games.

Imagine working 85 hours a week constantly…not just at “crunchtime”.

(Shanks) #10

Does the name of said company begin with an E and end in an A?

(RosOne) #11

Or rather hoped for

One-Map-MP-Demo this summer?

(GlobalWar) #12

How long did we play Feul Dump before ET was released?

It’s still one of my fav maps

So if the demo is released in may then i’ll be happy untill christmas  (i think…)

(ParanoiD) #13

Florisje wanted me to do some more sarcasm on these things so here:

[Sarcasm]No, can’t be EA, even with 168 hours/week their games would still be crap[/Sarcasm]

(datoo) #14

It’s encouraging to see it listed on Activision’s page, but it still doesn’t hold much weight unless we hear it from the developers themselves.
