ETQW 360 Update

Did you PC people get a patch? We 360’ers (All 0.3 of us) got an update. Anyone know what it did?

the xbox 360 version has an update? WTF? I thought they totally scrapped support for that game a long time ago?

I don’t think PC players even got an update, well their’s is most up to date anyway.

So when you popped in ETQW on your 360, what happened? Does it say that the game needs to update?

Ok just to be sure, the version number I have is 1.1. You see the version in the main menu just below the word options, where, in my case, says v1.1.

Do you need xbox live for the update?

I popped ETQW in and it prompted me to update. It appears the ads are gone (And are replaced with the typical Join the GDF ETQW ads). Dunno what changes it made other than that.

Last patch for PC version of the game was 1.5, im not aware that there are new patches…

PC has definately not had an update, or I’d be downloading it right nao.

I think none of the PC patches removed the ads, but I think the final one might have reduced the amount of advertising that happens in the game, because the amount of ads I see is a lot less.

I do miss standing near an advertisement reading it, only to get fragged by someone.

I think you need xbox live to update the game on the 360, because for me, with a silver account, I don’t get an update. Besides, I don’t want the update. I want to keep the ads in the game. It looks funny.

I’'ve never seen any ads. Not that I’m complaining or anything, just wondering.

I don’t mind the ads, but I hope that the loss of ads does not signify the end of ranked stats. If it does, heck, I’ll put in my own ads. They’d be black background with a white circle and inside the circle would be a 16. Other ads would simply display XVI in a cool font if it’s like $100 or so to place an ETQW ad…

strange, i turned on my game today, and i did not get an update message…not sure whats going on. is there any visible way to tell if you have the update? (occasionally, my 15 month old daughter will turn my console on without me knowing, so it might have updated)

Trying to find out what exactly this update does - I’m guessing it’s a maintenance release of some sort, though, and not actually gameplay affecting.

I’ve seen ads in 1.5, there’s just less of them because the game is not popular enough and as such a waste of money to advertise in.

Guys, I am SO SO SO Sorry. I mean, I was so puuzled by this update, yadayadayada, I sent out a message to all my Quake friends asking them what it was, when, I remember why I got the update. (Devs, feel free to delete this topic).

See, I was really frustrated playing GH3 yesterday because only on GH3 Star Power will activate on its own, and becuase I like to squeeze for more points, etc. this really frustrates me. Soooo I go to my system memory and wipe the cache- wa-la, all patches for all games gone. I thought this Star Power glitch might have been fixed by wiping the patches. It still glitches, stupid game.

Sorry for all the misunderstanding, rofl. So that’s why there weren’t any ads- it was the release game format! :stuck_out_tongue:
