Automated bad word filters are pretty pointless anyway. You can always get the meaning accross, and if you try to filter a lot of stuff, you will filter a lot of normal words.

My all time favorite shrubism was a server that attempted to outlaw /kill, but would gib you if you said a ‘bad word’. :moo:

muting is still the best defence against “potty mouth”, but for an admin to want to be able to swear while players can’t is just another way of saying we admins are above the rules and pwn joo all
I reiterate BAH !!

IMHO, admins should enforce the server rules and be an example of fair play, not want to be uber leet dictators

Lol I think a lot of people feel like a king on their own server, but most of these people are 13 years old… :stuck_out_tongue:

But, etpub includes this because they want as much shrub compatibiity as they can get, so including all shrubet commands and flags is 1 of their main goals

Why has noone made a shrub mod that gibs you every time you attempt to fire a rifle nade? Would give me a reason to give shrub a second chance tbh lol

In my opinion, if you can’t deal with a couple swear words, you have no business playing a game with a Mature Rating on the box, let alone an on-line game based on World War II.

Swear filters are designed to keep the server atmosphere better, but I dont use them…

That is the prime reason I quit running shrub. Someone sees a !lol or !fling and insistanly hounds an admin about giving said person admin rights,to the point of being muted or kicked,then hollers admin abuse all over the nearest forum.
69.31.6.32 3.1.12 etpro. No crashes yet.
