Because it minimizes ET.exe, not ETGold.exe.
You just gave me idea to code it
I ill post it today.

Maybe ETGold is coded to run on a single core and you run ET on several cores Dragonji?
Could be the reason for the FPS loss, I had same prob before when I ran ET without tweaking the number of coresā¦
No, I know what Iām talking about Mateos :), running ET on a single core only gives around 5 FPS more for me while running ETGold on all cores gives, as I said, 20-40 FPS more (depends on a map). I havenāt tested running ETGold on a single core yet.
ETGold just doesnāt want to be minimized, LOL :D. This is how my screen look after I try to minimize the game using MaxCounter:
Then maybe force VSync OFF for ET?
(Jumped from 40 to 70-80 FPS on 1944 Huertgen by running ET on a single core here, just tested with no core affinity o.o)
I think Indloon meant the software is made to minimize only ET.exe, or am I wrong?
No, itās the same even if I rename the executable to ET.exe. And I always play with vertical synchronization disabled
Whooops, little mistake.
It doesnāt use ET.exe or ETGold.exe to minimize, but it uses console to minimize it.
What the minimize application does it finds the ET console, duplicates the application information to other window (Win32 API). And toggles the state of ET window.
So the problem must be in your side.
Maybe it is caused by the difference of the ET resolution and your OS resolution?
Mostly the new monitors fit the picture on the screen automatically by given resolution as ET gives.
