ok. i love this game, but seriously. it wont play. it used to, but then it jsut stopped. i asked before, but nobody had an answer. i even reformatted my fecking computer, and it didnt help at all. the loading bar gets full then nothing happens. please help

If you want help then you need to provide all possible information.
What Operating System (Version and Service Packs) are you using?
What sort of connection are you using (Dial up, cable, DSL, etc…)?
Can you host a game?
Are you running any firewall software or other software woth mentioning?
Just telling us that the loading bar gets full and then nothing doesn’t help that much. :banghead:
I’m not sure if you can but press the ~ when nothing has happened to see if you can see the console, and report any errors. As I said, I don’t know if you will be able to get to this.

the loading bar becoming full and doing nought else could mean you have too many PK3’s in your etmain folder, have you tried getting rid of some of the downloaded PK3’s
I had a problem a few weeks ago, where ET would hang when maps would load. Strange thing was, sometimes it would work. So, I deleted all the unnecessary pk3’s - didn’t help. Reinstalled ET, didn’t help…
Finally, it turned out to be an incompatibility with PB. I guess my machine was not automatically updating PB.
Go to the evenbalance web page and follow the instructions for manually updating PB (PBweb.exe, I think). I actually deleted all the files on the pb/htm folder to get it to work correctly.
none of that worked, i updated pb, it didnt help. but now that i did that, after the load bar filles up, it says ET.exe has encountered an error and needs to close.
OMFG WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!?!?!
