(ET) varying gamma on servers

Is it me or ne1 else seen this,
varying brightness of the level depending on what server you are on
some are very dull but others are very bright…

keep having to adjust the brightness when i join a server…

odd, when you notice the brightness has changed, go into the console and type
/r_gamma
/r_intensity
/r_overbrightbits
/r_mapoverbrightbits
/r_uifullscreen

it should echo in the console what the current setting is. write it down or something (can e.g. /condump 1.txt) and see if any of them are changing themselves - there was an odd bug in rtcw where r_uifullscreen was setting itself to 1.

My game was real bright, but it’s because hwgamma is on by default. I changed my ignorehwgamma to a 1 and it’s normal now. Big change though, it’s quite a bit darker.
