ET Server Bugs ?

Hey Everyone,

I’ve been playing ET for a year now, well probably since it came out so anyway now i started two servers (1 has 64 player slots & 1 has 40) anyway so now i got it all working and stuff but i got some weird stuff happening when people connect and these are the things i see:

1 - [Player] Timed Out :banghead:
2 - [Player] Acking Download Mode

Any idea what these are and how i can solve them ?

Oh yea for a while i thought the Splash Damage Team has Died !, You guys havent released a Patch for almost a year now WHAT HAPPEND !!! ET is still buggy !!!

Oops sorry forgot to say that the servers are on dedicated Linux Machines with 100 Mbps Full Duplex Connections :slight_smile: So that isnt a problem :stuck_out_tongue:

The “Acking” business is to do with how downloads are configured on the server, search for “acking” using the handy little search tool above ^^^^^^^

Don’t expect an official patch from SD anytime soon due to it being a free game (thanks again SD)
ETPro has been fixing most of the bugs but I’m not sure if your beloved Shrub has also been fixing them as I don’t play shrub much

hmm, Shrub,ETPro,ETMain non matter because i’ve been on alot of shrub servers and never seen that message, and disconncted download mode is off (0), can someone tell me if there is some configuration to do to the HTTP Server ? special for ET
