ET:QW's solo assignment system and vehicles

I’m wondering how the S.A.S. is going to work as far as vehicles are concerned…

picture this u’re an engineer who has just spawned and been given a sub-mission to do whatever to a nearby bridge(I only have BF2 to go on here) , the bridge is a certain distance away and walking there would take too long . In the base or wherever u have spawned there are 3 vehicles nearby. Now which one do u take?I’m asking coz it matters which one u end up taking can affect your whole team.

Another way of looking at it is asking how the solo assignment system is gonna work as far as aerial vehicles are concerned. So u spawn as whatever and as far as I’ve read in previews u are given a sub-mission based on what class u are. since all the classes are ground-based(as in dude spawning who has two feet firmly on the ground) how would any of the sub-missions use air assets unless the guy concerned just walks into the nearest flyer and takes off.

Basically I’m wondering will the sub-missions give a recommended vehicle for u to take from ur teams supply in order to do ur mission.

From what I’ve read you can take any vehicle you want. But taking one of your teams heavy tanks to do a sneaky mission that takes you around the main battle would be a bad idea. Giving a suggestion on what vehicle to use would be cool, but this is multiplayer, and by the time you get your ATV to the bridge, it may already be under heavy assault, and the tank is the only thing that can break your way into that area.

I don’t think its needed, but it wouldn’t hurt to have it. As long as you don’t assign a vehicle, and reject the use of all otheres. Many times an experienced player will have more smarts than the computer will have, and will take the vehicle that best suits the mission without empacting the team in a negitive way.

On the topic of vehicles. What about the boat?
In one of the screenies I saw what looked like a 3-4 man watercraft. Perhaps this is just a glabal spawn and not side specific?

dude, wtf?
engineers are not concerned with their choice of a vehicle. we are equally qualified to ruin them all.
with the addition of a shotgun, any competent engie should be able to die at least 3 times before reaching the objective. (yeah, fueldepot, i’m looking at you…)

ah yes. life of an engi on fuel dump:
spawn, run, die(arty), spawn , run, die(sniper), spawn, run, die(air), watch medic run past

wrong tactic. allies breach in left through tunnel and right over bridge and kill the axis, then the engie has free run

i noticed in a pic thats out for et:qw theres 4 wheelers im assunming it would b wise for any member of a team that has a mini side mission to take a 4wheeler to that mission its small fast and is need for 1 task
