Just a noobie question would you be driving the cars (if there is eny
) in the game and get skill on it?
P.S: Why isin’t it free?

If there are vehicles, why not make use of it? Somebody needs to drive it, just make sure that you know where to go BEFORE jumping in. No regular kamikaze stunts for me, even though my name may suggest differently.
Of course, maps without vehicles would be refreshening as well so we can enjoy the ‘on-foot’ gameplay.
just imagine getting in a car…
you turn on the engine…
grip ur hands on the seering wheel…
press down the acccelerator…
2 HOURS LATER…
“I knew IT!”, “Where lost in a desert, and you ripped up the map to sleep on where doooooooooooooooooooooomed”
" :nag: :nag: :nag: :nag: Well i just need the AA or somthing just to get me out of here, so just he-BANG BANG OMG WHAT ARE THE- dead"
“Telephone hello enyone there…”
“soundxf” Dun Dun DUN!!
ET was going to be a mod for RTCW. Then they decided to have it as a seperate game that you could buy, but then decided just to have it free. (I don’t know why, perhaps because they thought no-one would by a multiplayer only game?)
ET:QW is an entirly new game and uses what I like to call the ‘ET2 Engine’ AKA Doom3 engine with a ton of changes. (which is why they should just give it a new engine name for publicity and discernability.)
Since the quality of ET:QW is so good, and it isn’t a mod requireing the person to buy the original game they have to charge for it to cover their time and the fees for using ID Softwares modified Doom3 Engine just like any other game.
That’s why i never give… the more you give, the more people want. There’s no pleasing some people
That doesn’t describe what happened at all, which perhaps explains why it doesn’t make any sense.
ET was never a ‘mod’. At first, it was planned to be a (non-free) expansion to RTCW. This plan was later changed to being a standalone retail game (also not free).
At some point id decided that the single player portion (developed by Mad Doc) was not going to work out, and so the retail product was canceled. The MP portion was quite promising, so ID and ATVI released that for free.
Nah id prefer too walk 2 kilometers to the base of teh strogg.
Imagine:
-You spawn
-Start walking in direction strogg base (2 KM)
-15 mins of walking later…
-Your near a river, strogg base near. Some strogg are on the mountains on top, you didnt see them as it was boring to walk. They kill you as you are weak on your own…
Ok this was just a retarded quaestion… Ofcourse you would take the vehicle, better said i think SD wants you to take it, else they wouldnt add them. You need to use vehicles as the maps are so big that you would liek only run 99% of teh gametime and try to shoot 1% of it… Also, if you have more ppl in a vehicle its better. 3 persons, one drives, one shoots 360 degress and the other one looks for objectives and sends them to his teammates…
I dont know, i like the idea of taking a peaceful stroll to the strogg base, taking in the beautiful scenary!
And when that gets too boring, u can make ur way on foot to the base. When u die u do it again and try and beat ur time, style!
hey, what about this?
a couple of guys get together, maybe an engie with a shotgun, and a heavy weapons lard. and they get all the vehicles, and drive them to the middle of the map, and establish their own vehicle dealership.
that way they can create a market based game economy where other players would sing them praises if they wanted a vehicle!
No, that should read " freakin’ Rocked!" :drink:[/quote]
I doubt it rocked by the time the the SP portion was canceled. Even the demo was barely playable, but it was “promising”.
Better yet, SD should make it in a way that you actually have to ‘buy’ vehicles, you know, in something that could be called “booster packs”. Then only users who payed money for those vehicles would actually be able to sell them on the game. That way, only real hardcore players would have vehicles!
Plus, you can make it so that only people with a proper driver license could drive the vehicles. And to get a license you have to go through around a few dozen different tests. And the tests are different for each vehicle. Because everybody knows that’s the most fun part on Gran Turismo!
Instant win!

how about a monthly fee, where u get some “vehicle credits” and everytime u request a vehicle u use those credits, when u get out of credits, u can buy a game card to get more and keep pwning on the road!!
Buyin credit, car dealerships, fek that. Just jack the vehicles gangsta style

I now know my ET History! TY
Serious though: Carjacking on games like that is always an issue, but I remember playing C&C Renegade online (the first ‘vehicle’ online fps for me) and the game had blown it out of proportion: since you had to actually buy the vehicles (with points gathered on the match) from a vehicle factory, the spawned vehicles ‘belonged’ to a certain player. You had put some time and effort in getting them. And when someone jacked them away it was really frustrating, there was a lot of bitching (and carjackers just ignoring the pleas to get the vehicles back…). The game was really fun, but it had a lot of issues - that being the biggest one, at least for me.
