remenisicence aside, the next gen’s will put console graphix even(almost) with average PC’s. Look at Doom 3 and now Quake 4 for 360, upcoming Prey… looks pretty sweet.
Still, consoles are for N00bs who can’t figure out their .cfg’s!

cfg? woot for? that you can switch everything to lowest detail or off so that you can get an advantage in competition with other players, and all only to try to get sum 1337ness?
Nothing but complaints about how poorly Q4 runs on the 360 on the Raven forums… very poor framerates and constant crashes.
They released a new Dreamcast game just the other day.
£45 for some arcade shooter action.
only console i’ve ever owned.

Didn’t have the transformer though only batteries.
D’oh!!,

Really? I was basing my opinion on what Adam Sessler/Morgan Webb was sayin aboot it. Their Reviews looked good

No, all to get some personalization, customizing your own scripts, your own snaps and maxpackets and wm_announcements, your own Style!
If you want cookie_cutter crap go right ahead.
I’ll keep my PC.
if you aren’t versatile, keep it. pc is for 2 types of games: 1st/3rd person shooters and strategy games. rest is for consoles. i couldn’t imagine playing burnout not on a large screen in heavy 5.1 sound sitting back on my couch n relaxing. or now DOA4 on large lcd tv in HD on the xbox360. you won’t get that on a pc, neither the game, nor the feeling. and from your “limited” opinion i can assume you don’t have a GC and never played resident evil 4 which is one of the best games ever imo.

Yes… and you get the 2nd hand / refurbished DC when you buy the game apparently!
the game is Under Defeat, i just love those arcade style no-brainers, they’re ideal for chilling
this will be the new copy protection mechanism: you get a console with your game
Announce ET:QW for 360, and I’ll preorder it that day. I won’t even wait until after work; I’ll stop in on my lunch break.
And yeah, I’ve got a PC that can handle it. Unfortunately, I don’t have wrists that can handle a full day of programming and still use a mouse & keyboard at night - I realize I’m not quite as precise, but being able to play without downing an entire bottle of Aleve is a big plus.
Or you could just ask for gamepad/joystick support in the PC version. :moo: I hope I’ll be able to use my xbox 360 controller (for the PC) when controlling the Anansi or the Hornet like I do with the airplanes and helicopters in BF2.

True. However, it’d also be nice to play on my home theater w/o having to haul my PC over (admittedly, that’d be hauling it the whole 6 feet it takes to cross my crappy apartment, but whatever).
However, good gamepad support would help me out as well - I’ll accept being less precise if I have to. I tried setting BF2 up to use a gamepad once… once. What a headache.
I just hope if they do decide to put it on next gen consoles, that they don’t ‘dumb it down’ for the PC so that it works better on consoles. I cant stand when developer do that.
I started with Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe
Indianapolis 500
Lemmings
After that when we got a ‘new’, IE old laptop I played allot of the ‘Sim’ series. Like sim City, Tower, Copter, Ant, Farm, roller coster tycoon.
My first FPS was Return To Castle Wolfenstein which my friend let me borrow. At that point I knew I found what I was looking for.
After that I got Beachread 2002, Veitnam I & II, Quake III, MOHAA & Spearhead, CoD, PlanetSide, BF2, Quake IV, and a host of other games.
hmmm … todd hollenshead says in this interview that ET:QW is currently only developed for pc:
