[et:qw]: "classic" mod idea

Another idea for a mod:
Change back some of the ET:QW gameplay elements to W:ET style.
Like reviving with a syringe, engineer is responsible for planting and defusing, weapon layout etc.
Maps and vehicles wouldn’t be touched.

If you want to play ET style… PLAY ET! I’m sorry but it’s a new game, why revert it back to be just like an older game? So silly…

Expect one hell of a job balancing it again.

I have the same feeling DarkangelUK has. It will be hard NOT to give in to the “why isn’t it like in W:ET” posts all the time.

I agree.

With all the time SD spends to make sure the game is balanced it would be redundant to revert class features.

Although the pessimist in me thinks that there will be some kind of pub mod, complete with xp-save and all that nonsense, which will throw the whole balance out of whack.

I’m sure most people play ET with tweaked configs, why don’t you all just set the graphics to its highest settings with AA+AF and it’ll feel like ET, yet look like a new engine… problem solved.

I would have to agree with Darkangle and say, why not just play ET then?
