Well, before everyone can jump on me and say “Something like the Doom3 specs”, I was hoping the devs might be able to shed some light on a few topics. I’m trying to get a head start on a server guide for QuakeWars that would hopefully be available to server admins as a ‘quick start guide’ on or before the date of release of the demo, if any, or the game itself.
Things that interest me:
RAM needed per player slot (8MB of RAM per player slot, or whatever)
CPU cycles per player slot (example 50MHz per player, 20 man server = 1GHz)
Anticipated bandwidth usage per slot (28-128Kbps per client)
Basic server config files (using dummy names where applicable)
Basic “campaign” file (using dummy names is fine to protect game level secrecy)
Expected OSes supported for ded servers (Windows and Linux, I presume)
Built in web admin?
Basic remote console commands
I know that some aspects of the game cannot be disclosed yet, but some heads-up quick start information would be greatly appreciated.
Here is an example of a crude quick start guide I put together for Wolf:ET that walks teh noob admin through the configuration process.

I plan to link server guides to a main page to be located here:
http://www.quakewarsterritory.com (only have a holder page there at the moment)
linking the our forums here:
http://forums.quakewarsterritory.com (forums are up, multiple forum style available, QW theme in development)
Any information from SD or the fourm folks is appreciated. I don’t know the Doom engine at all, so any links to known tutorial for the Doom3 engine would be appreciated!
