You may have noticed that a few clans have hijacked the ET main menu system, so that it displays only their servers. The menus are overbearing and more-or-less lure players onto their servers. Many clans do this, however I noticed that one clan in particular has the monopoly on the main menu.
Plan:
It is hopeful to get the support of a several clans to make a new menu system that overwrites all other menus in the game, breaks this monopoly that some clans have, and restores the menus, backgrounds and settings.
Primary Objectives:
- Delete or overwrite all other main menu systems
- Restore default ET backgrounds
- Restore the main menu structure, look and feel, less intrusive
- Optimize settings
- Add a link to Punkbuster update
- Add a menu link to http://et.splatterladder.com/, with a choice of mods
- Make it difficult to overwrite
- Make an executable install file, available to the public
Secondary Objectives:
The new menu system would also include a separate menu with a list of servers that participated in this project. This menu would be at bottom of main menu, in similar font as rest of menu. The idea here is to give several gaming communities a chance to advertise, without being overbearing.
The participating clans would be those who have been established for a while and are willing to add a link to their local in-game menu to install this new MAIN menu system.
To make this happen we need some clans/servers willing to participate, volunteers to design the new menu, and coders to make an executable to install it.

I understand there will be some haters out there, especially those with hijacking clan menus. Ultimately what the public wants, the public will get.
