et problems

first, when i alt-tab out of ET to my desktop, and i change back to et, the game display a grey screen, i can still hear other ppl playing, i can still move and choose menu and stuff but i can’t see nothing but a grey screen. This also happen if someone on msn or an im service send me an im, the im program automatically pop up and alt-tab me out of ET causing me having to end process on ET.

1 more problems is that when i end process on ET, my monitor’s brightness and contrast remain unchanged but everything is display ALOT BRIGHTER, i have to reboot my comp to fix this.

i have a:

2.0gig p4
256mb ddram
a intel “EXTREME” :eek3: :wink: 64mb video card
and i’m using windows xp home edition.

Try right clicking desktop and chosing refresh to get your color back after ending process.

The grey screen issue … try giving it a couple of minutes to reload the map, usually it will come back, just not quickly.

refreshing doesn’t help. and there’s another problems, sometime when i start ET, at the intro movie, the game just display the grey screen and the music skip heavily i can skip to the menu but the screen is all grey. i have to ctr-alt-del on ET and restart teh game.

I dont do the Alt-tab thing, but my screen will grey and actually my monitor will shut off if I am idle too lone (my system shut downs are quite short)…

and I found the best way to get ET back is to press ESC.

Which brings up the standard esc menu, but also cause the screen to refresh. I just press esc again (or return) and bang! :cool: I’m back in the game…

(sorry about going idle sometimes to all my teammates, but sometimes you need a phone call… or need a drink :beer: )
