ET prob

I was wondering if anyone has had the prob I am and has fixed it.

I can play Americas Army, BF:1942 with no problem.
However when I play ET my entire system will freeze up during game play. (May take 10 seconds, may take 2 mins, no constant variable)

I have the newest drivers for my BIOS, motherboard, vid, keyboard, etc…

System specs:
MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR
AMD 3000+ w/400FSB
Corsair 1 GB (2x512) PC3200 Dual Channel
GeForce 3 Ti200
Creative Audigy 2 OEM
80 GB IBM HD
Enermax 465 VE (431w)

Et would work on my old system AMD 750MHz 512 ram GeForce 3 Ti200 with no probs.

Any help would be great. :slight_smile:

This happens to me when I’m loosing a lot of packets from the server, but there could be a lot of reasons for it. My advice is to try some different servers to see if it still happens. If it does, try again other time for a few days as this will help determine if you are just having network problems.

If you have the new nVidia drivers (52.16 I beleive), I’ve gotten it confirmed that punkbuster will cause a hard freez during gameplay. You should roll back the drivers until this is resolved.

(I’ll put this in a separate thread, in case other people have this problem)

Thanks for the replies you guys, I really appreciate the help.
Seeing as how I am at work right now I can’t test it however when I get home I am going to get the previous set of drivers (1 or 2 versions back) from a friend and going to try those, I really hope it fixes it as I want to play ET.

Thank you very much!
Rolled back to v45.33 (think) from Oct 9th, and it fixed ET, more more crashes, time for LAN parties.
