ET: Pro mod ?

Just fired up ASE, and it had a DL for ET:Pro mod…

been looking around for info on it, cant find anything. is this a shrub mod for match play?

anyone know?

ETPro is bani’s compitition server mod.

As I understand it, bani will be maintaining two seperate server mods for ET:

ETPro - http://bani.anime.net/etpro/ - Competition mod
BayonET - ??? - Public Server Mod

Seems to be getting tricky to choose now, first there was ETPro, then Shrub, then ETTourney, now this on BayonET :bump:
Do you maybe have any link to any BayonET info, I’d be interested to see what’s in it, since I switched from ETPro to Shrub for the features.

Not sure I agree with speeding up the tanks on goldrush and fueldump, or nerfing \kill. \kill is generally accepted in clan matches so I don’t see a problem, but each to their own I spose.

The TWL admins have repeatedly said that they are looking for feedback from players. They are trying various settings and teamsizes to see what works best.
Hopefully people will actually play a few matches and then come to a conclusion…

6v6 works best imo, anything more just turns into a spamfest especially on railgun.

combatting the spamfest is the reasoning behind the /kill powerbar charge not refilling [nerfing /kill altogether is lunactic n00bism except on OLTL servers].

I think it’s just that you gain something by doing a /kill really makes no sense. I think it’s a great idea to not let the powerbar refill after a kill.
Another thing that needs nerfing is the field ops. Field ops is ok in clan games, but on public he’s just way to strong. I play field ops a lot so i know it…
Wehn you get lvl2, you’re getting really dangerous, at lvl3 you’re superman. 2 or 3 lvl3 field ops on the same team, have fun…
It’s not unusual that i get 60+ kills on a map, with arty’s and airstrikes.

All my above posts were regarding clan matches, nerfing \kill would have a negative effect on clan wars imo. It’s never been a problem in RTCW so should’nt be in ET, tho I realise they are quite different to each other.

\kill isn’t used only for recharging the powerbar but also for changing spawn points quickly…

in clan matches i think fieldops should have the same fire power that existed in RtCW (half bar -> airstrike; fullbar -> ffe). that would improve quite a lot on game play and reduce spammfests… same aplying to the almighty panzer…

in public servers i would let admins decide… although the current g_heavyweapons cvar is a bit limited in it’s results… :\

I think experimenting w/ settings for matches is a good idea, esp if the clans can arrive at a consensus on what is best balance for matches.

Ill need to play a few more scrims before I can come to a conclusion though, no need rushing to judgement
