I was trying to load etpro just not long ago and then it said i need May 8 2.60b patch. But ive downloaded the patch but when i start it i still cant connect to etpro. I have a emac on 10.5.8.
Is there anyway i can solve this.

etpro is not compatible to OSX.
And using wine for playing et is no good idea. Either get Linux or Windows. There are also some Linux LiveCD’s with ET on it around.
As far is i know you can play ETPro with MAC:
Get version: Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 2.60 (MacOS X)
Then Patch to Version: Patch 2.60b
play ETPro 3.2.6.
