ET Patches, 1.01 or 2.6?

Hi… It’s been ages since i’ve played ET but I just re-downloaded it… I saw there is a 1.01 and 2.6 client patch… is this two seperate branches? Or am I just confused… which should I be using… Thanks!

You need to install the 2.60 client patch, and also download the 2.60b supplemental patch. Then you will be fully up to date.

Just use the 2.60 - it already includes 1.01 afaik (at least I had no problems when I reinstalled W:ET last week). :wink:

There is also a 2.60b Patch - but from what I heard you can’t play with that on servers running ET Pro 2.5.0 and lower… I restored 2.60 after being kicked for ‘integrity failure’ too often. :bored:

You need plain 2.60 to play on etpro 3.2.5
You need 2.60b to play on etpro 3.2.6 (which should be out of beta pretty soon)

Other mods don’t care.

You can have both .exe files installed in your et directory. Just install et 2.60, and then copy et.exe to et260.exe, install 2.60b and copy et.exe to et260b.exe. Then you can run whichever one you want.

There are also some patch switcher programs which do the same thing for you.
