hey all,
maybe a dumb question if so then i appoligze, but me and a friend wanna use movies made in ET to make a clan movie.
but when you record it saves the movie as a DM_82 file.
never heard of it. and googled for it but no results.
anybody knows a converter for this?? or maybe an other way to record the movies??

I think you have to launch it with W:ET (or go into W:ET then view them.) Then you can play with the controls to view it from different player’s perspectives, and, of course, spectator mode.
I have not actually done it with W:ET but thats the way other games do it.
Thats a demo file, play it back use Darkangels_ETpro_MovieMakingcfg or ET
and Use fraps to record the video.
Mix together with video editing software. 
dm_82 is a demo file, not a move. You can use ET to convert this into still images (using cl_avidemo), which you can then convert to a video.
I would suggest using avidemo instead of fraps.

BTW, dm_82 means you are running a really old version of ET. The most recent versions use dm_84 files.
There is a command in et console to export the .dm files to .tga and then you have to make a movie from those tgas but you will need lots of free space for that.

Pytox: that “command” you are talking about is what reyalP refered to as “cl_avidemo”. In fact, it’s a CVar to set the number of TGA’s per second the game should export.
