I was wondering, i use GtkRadiant 1.2.11 and i recently got ET, the maps are Sweet but i miss some of the RTCW maps Depo is sweet as hell and so are a few others. would i get into deep shit if i take the cool RTCW maps probably just depo and convert it to ET? and if not is there anything special i need to do to make a ET map?

1st you need source, which will not be released to the public…so…no.

Unless you are the one who created the original RtCW map, you will NOT be allowed to convert a map unless you created it (or unless allowed to do so by the original mapper - legal ramifications). The maps will have to be recompiled using the new ET tools which are not out yet (haven’t checked the last few days, but I think that still stands). SD is going to release the tools and is currently working on the documentation apparently.

Yes, you will be able to create maps for ET.
No, you cannot just take an old map and make it into an ET map.
Since they are not releasing the source code for the game itself, you will not be able to create mods of the game.
