et: locked loading screens - directx 9.0c

Hey, I have a lil problem.

The last few days, I have a problem when loading Enemy Territory. Everything runs fine until the loading screen. It loads, but then when the loadinbar is at the end, the game freezes. Well not really a freeze, it just stops loading. I can get into console then, but no errors appear there.

The problems started after I installed Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines. And I traced the problem to Direct 9.0c (wich is recquired to play Vampire). I formatted my pc today (myeah, needed to be done) and installed Enemy territory first and then DirectX 9.0c (no Vampire).

Any of you got any idea’s how to solve it?

Hmm, could it be that you too much pk3-files in your etmain directory?

I just formatted, and installed it from scratch, so that’s not really possible.

I have dx9c , no problems with ET…

Perhaps you need to update some other driver. ET barely even uses DX (for sound) so it is unusual to get problems with it.
