Hum… first I had a problem saving profiles. But I worked that out by removing colons from my profile name. So that saves fine. But now, and since before my re-install, no servers will show up in the game. The game is updated to v1.02, and no filters are on. Game is set to internet, all. But not one server shows up. I can connect by IP SOMETIMES, but it says awaiting connection and counts into the hundreds before it goes through. Anyone have any idea how tof ix this?
ET is teh br0ke.
have you tried the “all seeing eye” . cant remeber the web address but do a google search. once you’ve installed it it will find servers for you even when the master server is down. its very very helpful
Sure have. I broke that too. Either way, when it worked, it still made me sit at awaiting connection like it does ingame.
could be a firewall issue. I had a similar problem a while back - even though I wasn’t running Zonealarm the service was still running.
I had to restart Zalarm and allow internet access, then close it down again
Are you behind a NAT router? (Which one? Tried up/downgrading firmware?)
Running any “personal firewall”?
Which OS?
Type/bandwidth of internet connection?
Windows 2000 Pro
No personal Firewall
High Speed DSL on a Linksys Wireless Router
No Virus Scan or protection
Whats wierd is that it used to work before, and at the moment, all my other games work perfectly (IE Unreal Tournament 2004 shows the servers and I can play fine)
Firmware isn’t the issue methinks.
It’s the router. Try it in DMZ, if you get servers or not. If you dont, try to directly connect the DSL line to your computer, just for testing purposes to find out if it really is the router. My friend has a lot of problems with his linksys. haven’t really found a solution, but then again, i haven’t fiddled with a linksys router yet.
Ironically, It was on DMZ already. I disabled DMZ and now it works fine. It was odd.
